The big boy with a little shy has clear eyes and always smiles. It has been two years since Jonathan came to Lucton, and the experience here is still fresh in his mind. “家庭的影响比较深，” Jonathan 说道，“我的父亲从事电子行业，也让我从小就对这些有着深深的兴趣。所以在专业的选择上，我没有犹豫过。”这个平静、害羞的学生在谈及自己的想法时有着从容的坚定。

考虑升学的时候，Jonathan在申请大学时也是相当谨慎。“大学本身的排名不是唯一的考量标准。” Jonathan说。他所申报的大学，电子电气工程专业的世界排名几乎都是前50。申请的过程自然是紧张忐忑的，他与升学指导老师们都感受到了不小的压力，但是他始终坚定并坚持了下来。

“很感谢老师们，帮我模拟面试，这对我后面的升学申请有很大的帮助。” Jonathan说到。

"The influence from the family is deep," Jonathan said. "My father is engaged in the electronics industry, which makes me have a deep interest in it since I was a child. Therefore, I have not hesitated when choosing a major." This gentle and shy boy was firm when talking about his choice.

Jonathan was also very cautious when applying for the university. "The ranking of the universities is not the only criterion." Jonathan said. The universities he applied for are almost in the top 50 in the world rankings by subject of electrical and electronic engineering. During the application process, both he and the university guidance teachers were under a lot of pressure, but he was always firm and perseverant.

"Thanks to the teachers for helping me have mocks, which was of great help to my application." Jonathan said.

谈及学习，Jonathan表示自己非常喜欢实验课程，“实践是一种非常好的学习方式，” Jonathan说，物理是他能接触实验最多的学科，电流、磁力、光波这些看不见、摸不着的事物，就充斥在我们生活中的每时每刻，实验将它们以一种可见的形式展现，从中验证的定理便更容易牢记于心。

When it comes to learning, Jonathan said that he likes experimental courses very much. “Practice is a very good way to learn,” Jonathan said. Physics is the subject he has most exposure to experiments. Although electric current, magnetism, light waves are invisible and intangible, they are common in our lives, and experiments show them visibly so that the theorems verified from it are easier to understand.

在莱克顿完成A Level课程学习的时间里，Jonathan一直保持着高度的自律，在他看来，A Level的每一个阶段都非常重要。“以数学为例，我觉得A Level的数学涉猎的范围很广，在一个横向的平台里，让学生能够学习到非常丰富的内容，也能让我更早的了解自己在更细致的分支上是否有兴趣。”从数学到进阶数学，很显然，Jonathan已经开始追求更深度的学习。“A Level每一步都很关键，” Jonathan说，“A Level是分阶段考试，每一阶段，每一次考试都会汇入总成绩，不存在后来居上。”

Jonathan has maintained a high degree of self-discipline during the time he studied the A Level courses in Lucton. In his opinion, every stage of A Level is very important. "Every stage of A Level is important," Jonathan said. “There are different examinations in different stages of A Level. At each stage, every examination result will be recorded into the total score. It's impossible to catch up if you didn’t learn well before."
