党浩淼、包恒恺和刘宇凯同学竞选体育部长。党同学擅长网球，获过国家级的奖项；包同学自称“力量型选手”，还有机敏的应急疗伤经验；刘同学以前担任过体育委员和篮球队长，每一岗位都是有“专业”背景的选手。

Eric Dang, Austin Bao and Mark Liu competed for the position of Athletic Coordinator. Eric is good at playing tennis, and he has won national awards before; Austin claimed to be an “athlete of great strength” and to be experienced in providing first-aid care for those who get injured. Mark used to be a PE secretary and captain of a basketball team. Both positions had equipped him with a professional background.

 刘宇凯和俞尚廷同学有意愿竞选男生活部部长。俞同学可谓是非常有责任心了——他甚至表示，晚上内务总是不能按时做完和早上总是晚离寝的同学，他可以帮忙解决。（全场热烈掌声）

Both Mark Liu and Ting Yu wished to compete for Dorm Prefects for Boys. Ting had a sense of great responsibility ---he even offered to help tidy up rooms for those who can’t do it on time in the evening and those who leave dorm late in the morning. Hearing what he said, the audience broke into applause.

热心的彭悠悠想要竞选女生活部长。她认为自己有着较强的沟通能力，且乐于助人，所以认为自己可以胜任这个职位。同一竞选的还有梁雨凡同学，不过至于她主要选副主席，在这个环节她就没有上台。

Yoyo Peng, a warm-hearted girl, wished to run for Dorm Prefects for Girls. She believed she had strong sociable skills and was ready to help others, and thus she was fit for the position. Another competitor was Hina, but since she also ran for the vice president, she didn’t give a speech for this position on the stage.

 吴文昊同学在做了一年的文艺部部长之后，转来想当社团部部长了。与其竞争的华子昂同学有着自己创建的羽毛球社团，还在之前的两个学期中都被评为了A级社团。这两位想必一个是“想尝鲜”，另一个“想试剑”。

Two boys, William Wu and Jack Hua, competed for the position of Club Director. Before he changed his mind to take this position, William had been Social Event Director for one year. Jack, his competitor, had founded his own badminton club, thanks to his efforts, the club had been evaluated as A level club for the past two semesters. So one must be trying something new, and the other must be challenging himself.

竞选义工部长的三位同学分别是沈莉燕、朱圣婷和彭知怀。沈同学是上届学生会的义工部长，所以更有信服力；朱同学怀着一腔热血，道出“让义工成为真正的义工”；彭同学则表示自己的长项在于非常有耐心倾听别人讲话。

Three students, Jessica Shen, Stella Zhu and Edward Peng, ran for Community Service Director. Jessica used to take on this position in the previous ASB, making her more convincing this time. Stella enthusiastically promised to make volunteers truly deserve the title. Edward Peng told the audience that his advantage was that he was very patient to listen to what others say.

权益保障部长。在这个环节，同学们都竖起耳朵仔细听，因为这和他们的在校权益息息相关，距离感一下子拉近了。陈韵心同学说自己非常注重个人隐私，所以她会帮助同学们捍卫个人隐私。钱宇同学说得更细致：“食堂、WIFI的问题我都可以向学校协调。”顿时，全场掌声雷动。冯煜涵同学比较可爱和真诚，也打动了同学们的心。

Students were all ears while 3 candidates were giving their campaign speeches for the position of Student Union Spokesperson on the stage. They all felt that this position was closely related to their rights and interests at school. Kayla Chen said if elected, she would help her schoolmates protect their privacy. Plutus Qian made a more detailed plan by promising that if elected, he would like to be a coordinator between students and school for issues such as the cafeteria and wifi. Suddenly, the audience broke into loud applause. Selina Feng also impressed the audience with her sweetness and sincerity.

最后便是广播站站长岗位。封黄锦楷声音洪亮，并曾在体验营担当主持人；刘晗旭公开坦然地表示自己英文不好，但是坚持用英文说完了他的整个竞选演讲。

Finally, 2 candidates competed for the position of Radio Station Director. Felix, who had been the host for the talent show in the orientation camp, made his campaign speech in a loud voice. Though he admitted that his English was poor, Jason Liu managed to finish giving his campaign speech all in English.

人选的最后落定须经全校师生扫码投票和校务会平衡，自愿站出来的竞选人本身是很有担当的同学，他们须投入很多精力和时间，带动学校活动，并且自己又要在各方面做同学们的示范，我们身怀敬意！

All teachers and students were supposed to scan a QR code and vote for their favorite candidates, and the school affairs office was to balance the results so as to decide on the members for newly-elected ASB. Those candidates who volunteered to run for the ASB actually had a sense of great responsibility because they would have to devote much of their efforts and time to promoting school activities. Furthermore, they were supposed to be role models for the others in all aspects. Therefore, they deserve our respect.
