What’s a typical boarding school day like for Lucton? - Moments of highlights

There are countless warm and sweet moments that make up Lucton boarding life, and even without special festivals or events, we can still be touched by those moments in our daily lives.

On the evening of Sunday, 20th September, 2020, cheers came from every Lucton Ding group. That day was the day when the Lucton Robot Team represented the school in the competition, and it was also the moment of honour for them to win the title of the Champion in the robot league competitions.

At the moment of receiving congrats and enjoying the centres of attention, the team members’ first reaction in the group weren’t the excitement they shared for receiving the honour, but their gratitude toward every faculty and staff who have been supporting them throughout out the way.

Another fragment of Lucton boarding life, was 1:00 pm on 7th October, 2020. After the holiday, the Lucton became busy again. Students joy of reunion accompanied with parents’ caring advices.

In addition to the teachers who greeted the classmates at the scene, there were also youthful and energetic volunteers, "Welcome back, are you carrying a lot of luggage?", "COVID-19 test results and insurance materials must be taken out first." Together with the faculty, are the school’s student volunteer team, who have added a touch of warmth to this happy gathering and parting day.

Due to the impact of the epidemic, it is inconvenient for parents to enter the school to help organize students’ dormitory. These loving seniors use their time to assist the returning school siblings to carry their luggage to the dormitory. Throughout the afternoon, facing the school siblings who kept returning, the seniors kept repeating the same lines with the same tone, without stopping, sending their kind inquiries, while taking over a 32-inch suitcase. As the teachers of the Life Caring Department who live with the children every day, they are witnessing the children's growth every day.

When students have succeeded in anything, they can notice the support provided by the people behind them. This kind of gratitude and team spirit, the kind of care they provided to other students, are all proof that they are growing.

The above two examples are not special cases, but what frequently happen in Lucton. They are the highlights of students in Lucton. This is what the boarding life in Lucton looks like. The spirit of Lucton boarding education is not to make them perfect, but to help each of them to find and achieved each a better self.
