上海宏润博源学校非常重视教师培训和教师团队建设。当本学期工作任务结束之后,学校连线世界领导力学院,给教师们进行“Purpose Learning”的主题培训。 

Shanghai Hongrun Boyuan School attaches great importance to faculty training and faculty team building. After wrapping up this semester's work, the school connected with World Leadership School to provide "Purpose Learning" themed training for faculty members. 


世界领导力学院于2007年成立于美国,与顶尖的K12学校合作,为教师和学生提供专业的培训项目,使同学们进入Purpose- driven Learning的学习模式,成长为新一代的领导者。世界领导力学院的体验式培训项目遍布世界各国,我校的印度领导力项目便是与世界领导力学院合作,将我们的学生带到印度进行体验式的领导力培训。 

      Established in 2007 in the United States, World Leadership School, in partnership with top K12 schools, provides professional training programs for teachers and students, enabling students to enter the purpose-driven Learning mode and grow into world leaders of the new generation. World Leadership School has various experiential leadership programs in many countries arcoss the world. In fact, our annual Indian Program is a partnership with World Leadership Program, to bring our students to India for experiential leadership training.

    斯坦福青少年中心主任William Damon博士曾说:“现代人在成长中面临的最大问题不是压力,而是找不到意义。” “你同意Damon博士的说法吗?现在的青少年面临怎样的挑战?与我们那个年代相比有何变化?”在培训一开始,世界领导力学院创始人Ross Wehner 先生便向各位老师抛出了以上问题。

      "The biggest problem growing up today is not stress; it's meaninglessness," said Dr. William Damon, director of the Stanford Center on Adolescence. "Do you agree with Dr. Damon? What are the challenges teenagers face today? How have they changed since you were a teenager?" Ross Wehner, founder of World Leadership School, posed the above question to our teachers at the beginning of the training.

“如何定义Purpose?你的Purpose又是什么呢?”Ross接着提问。在各位老师各抒己见后,Ross也给出了一个参考定义:“对自己有意义,对世界有益处的稳定意图。”Purpose不是一时的心血来潮,也不是生活中的奢饰品,而是生存技能;它会给予我们强大的意志力,让我们在困难复杂的环境中可以生存和繁荣。Purpose不是他人告知你的,而是在日常的自我探索练习中不断发现和凝练的,需要情感、思维和实践锻炼。

"How do you define Purpose? What is your Purpose?" Ross went on to ask. After hearing from the teachers, Ross also offered a reference definition: "a stable intention that is meaningful to self and beneficial to the world." Purpose is not a passion or a luxury, but a survival skill. It gives us the strength of will to survive and thrive in difficult and complex circumstances." Purpose is not something that is revealed to you by others, but something that is discovered and refined through the daily practice of self-discovery. It requires exercises in feeling, thinking, and doing. 


 通过教育的历史发展视频,Ross向我们清晰地展现了现代教育的模式起源于几百年前,它的繁荣发展在很大程度上是为了满足社会对于标准化工人的需求,学校教育也比较强调标准知识的记忆,更像一个标准化工厂。几百年过去了,社会环境已经发生了翻天覆地的变化,这种大规模的标准化教育还能满足人类发展的需求吗?Ross认为未来的教育应该要更关注每位同学的个性化培养,帮助他们探索自我,探索与世界的联系,找到自己的Purpose,实现“由意义驱动的学习。” 这与我们上海宏润博源学校的教育理念不谋而合。

Through a video on the historical development of education, Ross made it clear that the model of modern education originated several hundred years ago, and that it thrived largely in response to the society's demands for standardized workers. School education also emphasizes the memorization of standardized knowledge, more like a factory producing standardized products. Hundreds of years have passed, and the social environment has undergone tremendous changes. Can such large-scale standardized education still meet the needs of human development? Ross believed that future education should fosus more on the cultivation of students as unique individuals, helping them to explore themselves, explore their connection with the world, find their Purpose, and achieve "Purpose-Driven Learning." This coincides with the educational philosophy of Shanghai Hongrun Boyuan School.


 但是,如何找到自己的Purpose呢?Ross引导大家使用“Calling Card”这一工具来帮助大家认识自我。通过卡片的取舍与分析,以及与同事之间的交流,我们都加深了对自己的认识,似乎自己的性格和人生路线也变地清晰了许多。每个人都有自己的特点,每个特点也都有自己的优势,如何在工作和生活中充分发挥自己的优势,惠及自己和他人呢?Ross也引导我们使用积极心理学来评估自己的Purpose。我们要不断地丰富我们的Purpose, 丰富我们的人生。 

       But, how do you find your Purpose? Ross guided us to use the Calling Cards as a  tool to help learn about ourselves. Through the selection and analysis of the cards, as well as the communication with colleagues, we deepened our understanding of ourselves, and our personality and life path seemed to be much clearer to us. Everyone has his/her own characteristics, each of which has its own own strength. How to make the best use of our stengths in our work and life, to benefit themselves and others? Ross also guided us to use positive psychology to evaluate our Purpose. We should constantly enrich our Purpose and enrich our life. 



 这是我们“Purpose Learning”培训的第一阶段,新学期教师培训时也会继续进行第二和第三阶段的培训。本次培训之后,Chris校长总结说,在青少年的世界里,能与他们互动并指导他们成长的成年人数量非常少;可以说,青少年的世界是非常小的。我们作为老师,更要珍惜这一能参与和引导孩子们成长的机会。为了帮助孩子们探索自我,让他们成为最好的自己,我们需要与他们分享自己的故事,要首先进行自我探索“我是谁?我在创造怎样的人生故事?我的Purpose是什么?”这样我们才能真正实现Teaching for Purpose,帮助孩子们进入Purpose-driven Learning 的状态,成为世界的改变者和领导者。

     This is the first session of our Purpose Learning training, and we will continue with the second and third sessions in the new semester. After this training, Principal Chris remarked that there are only a few adults in a teenager's world; in some sense, the world of a teenager is very small. As teachers, we should cherish this opportunity to participate in and guide the growth of our students. In order to help them explore themselves and become their best selves, we need to share ourselves with them. We need to explore ourselves first: "Who am I? What life story am I creating? What is my Purpose?" Only in this way can we truly realize Teaching for Purpose and help studetns adopt purpose-driven Learning and become the new changers and leaders of the world.
