国际竞赛是提升学术背景和升学竞争力的重要途径。为帮助同学们更全面深入地了解各类国际竞赛，增强申请名校的软实力，同时促进学生“挑战自我，突破自我，实现自我”，学校“国际竞赛组”的老师们召开了多次研讨会，并组织推出一系列专题讲座，为大家讲解各大竞赛概况。

International competitions are an important way to improve academic background and competitiveness for further studies. In order to help students gain a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of various international competitions, enhance their soft skills for applying to top schools, and encourage them to take challenges and achieve self-realization, the school's international competitions team held a number of workshops and organised a series of talks to provide an overview of the major competitions.

第一期讲座——走近国际学科竞赛，于5月25日在线举行。各年级同学均踊跃参与。Beck老师从以下四个方面进行了讲解分享：

The first session, “Approaching International Competitions”, was held online on 25 May and well attended by students from all grades. Teacher Beck explained and shared from the following four aspects:

第二期讲座——EPQ项目，在6月1日上线。拓展项目研究证书EPQ (Extended Project Qualification)，是英国教育部和高等教育招生服务中心 (UCAS) 强烈推荐的研究性学习认证项目。讲座中，陈老师着重介绍了EPQ项目的核心优势，以及如何做选题与学习等。

The second session, “Introduction of EPQ”, went live on the afternoon of 1 June. EPQ is a research-based learning certification program strongly recommended by the British Ministry of Education and the Higher Education Admissions Service (UCAS). In this lecture, Ms. Chen highlighted the core strengths of the EPQ program and how to do topic selection and learning.

张尤佳同学主要分享了自己做中国嘻哈文化课题研究时的项目经历，说到许多流程中有关做演讲、选题开题、英语文献阅读、论文写作等的实用建议，并向大家展示了自己最终写成的英语论文；能在自己感兴趣的领域做出研究成果将是一件成就感爆棚的事情！

Jane shared her project experience when doing research on Chinese hip-hop culture, provided many practical suggestions in the process of giving speeches, selecting topics, reading English literature, writing papers, etc., and presented to everyone her final thesis. It is surely a great sense of accomplishment to be able to produce research results in one's field of interest.

这些都是国际学校家长们非常关心的问题。为帮助学生和家长们了解相关讯息，我校于5月20日组织进行了家校升学指导在线交流会。

What exactly do we mean when we talk about IG and A Level? How to choose A Level courses? How to choose the US universities? How to plan your high school studies and further education? What are the advantages of each of the school's 'Double A' (A Level + AP) international programs for further study? What support does the school offer for progression to higher education......These are issues that are of great concern to parents of international schools. In order to help students and parents understand the relevant information, our school organised an online home school guidance session on 20 May.

Joan老师首先向大家介绍了我校“以学生为中心”的升学指导体系，指出升学指导的意义并不仅在于大学申请，而是聚焦于“职业规划”。而后，Erika老师、Joan老师分别就A Level项目及申请、美高项目及申请进行了详尽介绍。整场分享交流干货满满、重点突出，也提到了我校在升学方面对学生的全方位支持。

Teacher Joan began by introducing our student-centred college counselling system, pointing out that it is not just about applying to universities, but more about 'career planning'. Afterwards, Ms Erika and Ms Joan gave a detailed introduction to the A Level program and application, and the US High School program and application respectively. The whole session was very informative and focused, and also touched on the full range of support that our school provides to students in terms of college counselling and application.

自5月中旬，学校教学部门开展了与各位老师一对一面谈的“教师发展会议”。每位老师就前期开展的学生反馈调查，以及教学中遇到的难点问题、教学方法、教学改进、后续的专业发展目标、期望获得的支持等问题与教学总监Jeremy、校办Joan老师进行了深入交流。

Since mid-May, the school's teaching department has been conducting one-to-one teacher growth meetings. Each teacher had an in-depth conversation with Jeremy (the Academic Director) and Joan, about the student feedback survey conducted earlier in the year, as well as difficult issues encountered in teaching, teaching methods, teaching improvement, subsequent professional development goals, and expected support.

高藤2022秋季招生热度不减。除多场线上招生说明会和线上考试外，特别推出的“走近真实的高藤课堂——高藤Class系列直播”也在持续进行中。

The 2022 Fall Admission of SHTCS continues to be going strong. In addition to multiple online admissions briefings and online exams sessions, the specially launched series of live streaming of SHTCS Classes is also ongoing.
