尊敬的各位老师，各位家长，亲爱的同学们，

大家下午好！我是10-2班的江同学，很荣幸能够代表十年级学生发言。在短暂而充实的寒假过后，欢迎重返校园的老同学们和新加入宏润博源这个大家庭的同学们。

一年前我怀着憧憬和期待的心情来到了宏润博源这所美丽的校园。作为刚从体制内学校转入国际学校的我来说，一切都是陌生的。我经历了许多人生中的第一次：第一次离开家乡到外地上学，第一次住校，第一次选课，第一次体验全英文授课，第一次用全英文演讲等等。对于我来说这是一种全新的课程体系，更是一次全新的挑战。

这里和体制内大有不同，这里有丰富多样的课程和社团活动。我们可以根据自身能力选择自己最适合的课程难度，可以选择自己感兴趣的社团。种类丰富的课余活动，也可以让我们有很多上台展示的机会。小班制教学，会让我们得到老师更多的关注。

从一开始的不适应，对于荣誉课程的畏惧和上台表演的忐忑不安，到后来报了三门荣誉课程，从容的面对舞台。才逐渐发现一切看上去艰难的事物，一但自己亲身尝试，并为之努力过后便会不再害怕。

上学期加入学生会让我更近一步地参加和组织学校的各项活动，为社区建设贡献了一份力量。这也需要我在工作和学习之间达到平衡，在参与社区建设的工作中，更要安排好学习时间，做到工作和学习两不误。

对于十年级的我们来说，在保证成绩与标化考试的同时，也要抽出时间来参与社区建设，参加学校组织的各项课余活动。在自我探索中找到自己感兴趣的专业，为升学打下坚实的基础。

最后，希望同学们，在新的一年里，新的一学期里，学习更上一层楼。老师家长们工作顺利，事业蒸蒸日上。谢谢大家！

Honorable teachers and parents, dear students,

Good afternoon! I'm Alisa from Class 2 Grade10. It's my great honor to speak on behalf of the grade 10 students. After our short and fulfilling winter vacation, we greet returning students and welcome the new students who have joined the SHBS family.

One year ago, I came to SHBS’s beautiful campus with longing and expectation. As I had just transferred from a local to an international school, everything was strange to me. I have now experienced many things for the first time in my life: the first time leaving my hometown to go to school, the first time living in a dormitory, the first time selecting my own classes, the first time learning in English, the first time giving a speech in English, etc.. For me, this is a new type of school, but also a series of new challenges.

Things are quite different from a local school. We have a variety of courses, clubs, and activities. We can choose the most suitable course level according to our own ability, and pick the clubs we are interested in. A variety of after-school activities also gives us a lot of opportunities to show ourselves on stage. Small classes allow us to get more attention from teachers.

At the beginning, I was afraid of honors courses and nervous about performing on stage. Yet now I have taken three honors courses and calmly face the stage. I have found that gradually, everything that seems difficult, once we try it by ourselves, and work hard for it, will no longer daunt us.

Last semester, I joined the Student Union, which enabled me to organize and participate in various school activities, and to contribute to strengthening our community. This required me to achieve a balance between work and study. In creating activities for the community, I also needed to arrange my study time well, so as to achieve success in both.

As grade 10 students, we should not only ensure we perform well in our courses, but also spare time to participate in community activities and in various after-school opportunities organized by the school. Discover what we are interested in through self-exploration, and lay a solid foundation for further study.

Lastly, I hope all the students, in this New Year, in this new semester, can achieve at a higher level. And I hope that teachers and parents can enjoy a more successful career ahead.

各位老师，各位家长，亲爱的各位同学：

大家下午好！我是来自11年级2班的徐同学，很荣幸有机会在今天代表11年级同学发言。相信在过去的1个月中，大家都度过了充实快乐的寒假。今天也很开心能够见到自己的老同学们，以及一些新面孔，欢迎大家回到并加入宏润博源这个温暖的大家庭。

转眼间，我们11年级同学也从懵懵懂懂的预备年级孩童成长为学校的老人了。两年多的时光如箭一般飞逝。这两年里有许多美好难忘的回忆，艺术节的精彩表演，万圣节的尖叫鬼屋，网球场上的大汗淋漓。同时也有许许多多的挑战，新冠疫情下的网课时代，一次次紧张的大考小考，台风到来时的临时留校等等。但我们都坚持了下来，因为我们努力且团结。

随着新学期的到来，我们都有新的目标与规划：预备年级和十年级的同学们要提前准备起自己的升学计划，更加积极地参与到各项活动当中来探索自己的无限可能。十一年级的同学们则要紧张地参加各种标化考试，为申请大学做好最全面的准备。十二年级的同学则好好享受在宏润博源的最后时光，并准备着开启自己人生新的篇章。

最后我想引用陈文国校长的一句话“我们的人生不过是无数习惯的总和”。新学期，新气象，让我们一起从平日的点点滴滴开始做起，养成良好的习惯，成就大梦想！

Good afternoon, everyone! I'm Tommy from class 2, grade 11. I'm honored to have the opportunity to speak on behalf of Grade 11 today. I believe that in the past month, everyone has had a full and happy winter vacation. Today, I'm also very happy to see my old classmates as well as some new faces. Welcome back, and a very warm welcome to those joining the warm Hongrun Boyuan family.

In the blink of an eye, from the young kids of the pre-high grade, we 11th grade students have become the upperclassmen in this school. Two years have passed like a swift arrow. In the past two years, we have made many beautiful and unforgettable memories, including wonderful art festival performances, screaming in the Halloween haunted house, and sweating on the tennis court. At the same time, we overcame many challenges, such as online education during COVID-19, some challenging examinations, and occasional punishment hours. But we all persisted and became stronger, because we worked hard and are united together.

With the arrival of the new semester, we all have new goals and plans: students in pre-high grade should prepare their own study plans, and seize a variety of opportunities to explore their great potentials. Students in Grade 11 must prepare for all kinds of examinations and ensure that they have the strongest possible records for their college applications. Students in grade 12 may enjoy their final semester in Hongrun Boyuan and prepare themselves for a new chapter in their lives.

Finally, I would like to quote Principal Bowen, "Our life is just the sum of countless habits". With the new semester, and the coming spring, let's start with our routines, bit by bit, and develop good habits to achieve our big dreams!

各位老师，同学，家长：

大家下午好！我是12年级2班的项同学，很荣幸能在今天的开学典礼上代表全体12年级同学发言。时光匆匆，度过了张灯结彩的新年，我们迎来了本学年的最后一个学期。大家要更好地珍惜在校的每分钟，因为时间真的过得飞快。

首先，对现在G12的我们说，未来的3个月是在宏润博源的最后时光，也是我们在高中的最后时光。这个时间段，对于已经申请结束的同学们，享受珍惜这3个月，珍惜所有的情谊，比如师生之间，同学之间。同时也可以考虑起未来的生活，准备一个长久的规划。对于还在等待结果的同学们，也不要过于焦虑，曾经的一切都已经默默地为最后奠定了基础。只要努力过，梦，总会成真的。

其次，学弟学妹们要好好把握当下。时间和机会都很重要，不要虚度光阴，对于握在手中的机会不要放弃，对于想要的机会要努力争取，不要在回头看的时候给自己留下遗憾。同时，做好自己，做好每一天，对得起自己就可以了。有时焦虑可以化作前行的动力，但是若过度焦虑就需要及时自我调节，毕竟到了申请季就会发现什么是水到渠成。

学校给大家提供了很多平台和机会去认识自我，展现自我，比如在演讲比赛中的锻炼，在家长大讲堂上受到的启迪，但主角依然是我们自己，在座的每一个人。未来，一切都掌握在自己手里。

最后，“宝剑锋从磨砺出，梅花香自苦寒来”，我们只有付出了，才会有所收获。祝大家在新的一学期里继续朝着自己的目标进击，并成功摘取属于自己的结果。

I am Season from Class 2, Grade 12. I am honored to speak on behalf of all Grade 12 students at today's opening ceremony. Time flies, and we usher in the last semester of this school year. Everyone should better cherish every minute they have in school.

First of all, to those of us in G12, the next 3 months will be our final moments in SHBS and it is also our last semester in high school. During this time, for those students who have completed their applications, enjoy and cherish these three months, and also cherish all your friendship. At the same time, we can also think more about our future life and make long-term plans. For those who are still waiting for results, don't be anxious. Everything in the past has quietly laid the foundation for the future. As long as we work hard, our dreams will come true.

Second, juniors must grasp the present moment. Time and opportunity are very important: don't waste time, and don't give up the opportunity in front of you. Strive for what you want, and don't leave any regret when you look back. At the same time, be yourself, do your best every day, and be true to yourself. Anxiety, as productive as it can sometimes be, can also serve as a warning bell. Excessive anxiety requires self-regulation. In the end, you will find out what comes naturally during your application season.

Our school provides for students many platforms and opportunities to know and show ourselves, such as practicing in speech competitions, and reflecting on ourselves in the Parents Forum. Yet the protagonists are always us.
