物理 Physics

物理，可以解释为世上万物的道理，它代表的是先进的文化，而且可以物化成先进的生产力。

Physics can be comprehended as the subject to let you know the truth or principle of everything in the world. It represents advanced culture and can be materialized into advanced productive forces.

作为自然科学，当提到物理的时候，大多数人们马上想到的就是“好难”，“学不懂”之类的，甚至有人用“雾里”来戏称“物理”，但是只要能沉浸到物理世界，孩子们就能感受到物理的魅力。

莱克顿在同学们十年级和十一年级开设的物理课所使用教材为IGCSE 物理课程，本书包含运动学、动力学、力和能量、波、声现象、光学与透镜、热学、电磁学、原子物理学、天体物理等物理学各个分支中最为基础的知识。

目前十年级的孩子们处于刚刚接触IGCSE教材的阶段中，进度中有相当大的一部分是在初中物理学过的受力，运动学知识，现在的首要任务就是熟记物理学术语，让自己具备用英文描述物理现象和物理过程的能力。

对物理学感兴趣的孩子们来说，这一切还是刚刚开始，也期待他们在莱克顿积极投身于物理实验的同时递上他们满意的答卷。

As the leading subject of natural science, when physics is mentioned, most people immediately think of "how difficult it is" and "how hard it is to learn". Some people even use "the subject that let you feel getting lost in the fog" to describe "Physics". But as long as you immerse yourself in the Physics world then, you can feel the charm of Physics. The textbook used in the Physics class offered by Lucton in Grade 10-11 is International GCSE Physics (Oxford International AQA Examinations). This book contains the fundamental knowledge in almost all branches of Physics, such as Kinematics, Dynamics, Force and energy, Wave and sound phenomena, optics and lens, Thermal Physics, Electromagnetism, Atomic Physics, Space Physics, etc. At present, the students in grade 10 are at the beginning of learning IG textbooks, What they have learnt is the knowledge of force and kinematics that children have learned in junior high school. Now, their essential task is to memorize Physics terms so that they could have the ability to describe Physics phenomena and progress in English. For the children who are interested in physics, all above is just the beginning, and they are expected to hand in their satisfied answers while participating in physics experiments held in Lucton.

十三年级的学生，我们从A Level第三章节开始学起，学习匀速圆周运动、简谐运动、重力场和电场。期中考试后，我们将继续学习电容器、磁场和电磁感应。随后来到第四章节，学习热物理学、气体、核能、旋转动力学和可再生能源。这是一个值得称赞的班级，我对他们给予了很高的期望。我每天会布置相对应课程的家庭作业，并通过期中考试和A Level考试练习来评估他们掌握知识的程度。课堂上我也会给出例题，让孩子们在课堂上即时解答。

For my year 11 students I will cover most of the IGCSE textbook. We begin with properties of waves and continue with content related to sound. We will also cover reflection and refraction of light, kinetic energy, electricity, transformers and nuclear physics. I will assign homework almost every day and assess their knowledge with midterm exams and practice IGCSE exams.

For my year 13 students, we started with div 3 of the A Level textbook with uniform circular motion, simple harmonic motion, gravitational fields and electric fields. After the midterm exam we will continue with our study of capacitors, magnetic fields and electromagnetic induction. Then we will begin Section 4 with a study of thermal physics, gases, nuclear energy, rotational dynamics and renewable energy. This is a good class and I have high expectations for them. I will assign homework almost every day and assess their knowledge with midterm exams and practice A Level exams. We will also work example problems in class every day and I will have students work problems on the board for the entire class.

试图了解未知的事物仍然是人类生活中的一个核心问题，作为人你能够理解一些事情，同时也有一些你不理解的事情。一般来说，科学，特别是物理学，教授你一种接近未知事物的方法，并提出问题直指未知事物的核心以及如何使其被了解。在莱克顿，我们努力为所有物理爱好者创造一个平台环境，让他们有机会探索。作为一门实验科学，我们利用科学方法来制定和测试对自然界观察的假设。

We have now successfully completed the fourth week of the first term of this new academic calendar, As we are moving on, AS/A level physics course designed to prepare learners for university studies in physics or engineering, AS physics course contains two important units which includes Mechanics, Materials, Atoms ,Electricity, Waves and Particles to be completed in the span of one year, along with three more units to learn in A2 physics for next year, students are enthusiastic and passionate about learning theoretical and experimental physics, Trying to understand the unknown is still a central problem in human life, being a human being means that you are able to understand some things and also that there are things you do not understand. Science in general and physics in particular, teaches you a methodology for approaching the unknown and asking questions that get to the heart of what is unknown and how to make it known. At Lucton, we are striving to create an environment for all physics enthusiasts to give them opportunity to explore and also as an experimental science, utilising the scientific methods to formulate and tests hypothesis that are based on observation of natural world.
