我在2022年的2月份正式加入了上海美达菲的大家庭，并进入了10MEP班（牛剑班），作为一名插班生我在10年级的第二学期才加入班级，所以导致我在加入美达菲之前，原本很担心作为新学生的我能否跟上学校的学习，适应新学校的环境，以及融入新的人际圈子所感到担忧。但当我真正来到美达菲就读后，我才意识到我之前的担忧都是多余的。班上的同学都很友好，我们会在学术上，以及生活上互帮互助。在入学的第二个学期，我便成功的融入这个全新的家庭里。老师们也都非常细心且耐心，虽然我知识储备还远远不够，在学习中会遇到很多问题，老师们仍然会非常细心的教导我。

I officially joined the big family of Shanghai MacDuffie in February 2022 and entered 10MEP class (Niu Jian Class). As a transfer student, I only joined the class in the second semester of Grade 10. Therefore, before I joined MacDuffie, I was worried about whether I could keep up with the school learning and adapt to the new school environment as a new student. And about fitting in with new people. But when I actually came to MacDuffie, I realized that all my worries were misplaced. Our classmates are friendly and we will help each other academically as well as in life. In the second semester, I successfully integrated into this new family. The teachers are also very careful and patient. Although my knowledge is far from enough and I may encounter many problems in my study, the teachers still teach me very carefully.

总的来说，我觉得上海美达菲是一个温暖、和睦的大家庭。校园环境也非常优美，设施齐全。给我留下了一段美好的回忆。

谈到这一年在美达菲所经历的一切，对我来说是充满意义的，身边的伙伴、朋友与老师都给我带来了美好的经历。上个学期由于疫情的影响，我其实并没有在学期内参与太多的学校活动。但从本学期开始，无论是活动主持人、升国旗仪式的主持人，还是各个活动的志愿者我都积极参与。然后，这也给我的校园生活增添了不少乐趣。比如说我担任配音比赛的英文主持人的时候，开始时我很激动，却也有些害怕，并不是因为我对我的英语口语不自信，而是我很担心在很多人面前进行演讲会有失误，从而辜负他人对我的信任。但在同学们和老师的鼓励与督促下，我拾起了信心，去勇敢的把握住了这次机会。

It is meaningful for me to talk about what I have experienced in MacDuffie this year. The partners, friends and teachers around me have all brought me wonderful experiences. Last semester, due to the impact of the epidemic, I did not participate in many school activities during the semester. However, since the beginning of this semester, I have actively participated in the activities of the host, have taken roles as the host of the flag raising ceremony, and the volunteer of various activities. Then, it also adds a lot of fun to my campus life. For example, when I was the English host of a dubbing contest, I was very excited at the beginning, but I was also a little afraid, not because I was not confident in my oral English, but because I was worried that I would make mistakes in giving a speech in front of many people, and thus betray others' trust in me. However, under the encouragement and supervision of my classmates and teachers, I picked up confidence and grasped this opportunity bravely.

当天我的主持虽然没有很精彩，但我认为在某种意义上，我也战胜了自己。感观那天的比赛十分有趣，同学们精彩的配音、生动的演出让我记忆深刻。那一刻我发现身边的同学们都是语言小能手，这次的经历让我对身边的同学们刮目相看，给我留下了深刻的印象。

Although I did not host a very good day, but I think in a sense, I also beat myself. The competition on that day was very interesting. The students' wonderful dubbing and vivid performances impressed me deeply. At that moment, I found that the students around me were all proficient in language. This experience made me sit up and take notice of the students around me and left me a deep impression.

我的梦想是在加州大学伯克利分校就读，虽然这所大学的申请非常困难，但我认为人要对自己有信心，有了自信，才能更好的面对未来可能发生的各种困难。

My dream is to study in the University of California, Berkeley. Although the application for this university is very difficult, I think people should have confidence in themselves. Only with confidence can they better face various difficulties that may happen in the future.

另外，我所感兴趣的学科有包括生物科学和历史，我相信往后的时间，我也会在这些学科上，以兴趣为动力，继续努力下去。

这要说到我曾在2018年的时候，去伦敦参加了一个夏令营，在这次夏令营中，我认识了来自不同国家，有着不同传统与文化背景的同学们，而这些不同的文化或传统，甚至语言背景都会可能导致各种潜在的冲突发生。鉴于我的目标是在美国读大学，所以我并不希望我在外求学期间会惹上一些不必要的麻烦，和他人爆发一些不必要的冲突，为了达成这一成就，我认为加深对当地文化的理解，以及习惯当地语言环境是非常有必要的。而加深当地文化的理解，以及习惯语言环境，最好的办法就是切实的居住在那个环境下，所以，为了能让自己尽快适应国外大学生活，我打算在高中的时候，就能够提前融入环境，这是我选择去美达菲美国校区的一大原因，另一个原因是美达菲的美国校区本土教学资源更丰富，我希望我能在那边进一步提升个人的能力，认识更多优秀的人，并为日后的升学与工作做好全面的准备。
