英语学科作为泰然学校的特色学科之一，一直旨在培养学生兴趣，启发学生思维，培养学生良好的学习习惯，帮助学生在英语学习上不断取得进步。每学期英语组会组织一些活动，将音乐、美术等学科与英语结合，让学生发挥创造力展示自身艺术才华和英语风采。

As one of the characteristic subjects of Tairan Primary School, English has always been aimed at cultivating students' interest, inspiring their thinking, cultivating their good learning habits and helping them make continuous progress in English learning. Every semester, our English team will organize some activities which combined with music, art and other subjects, so that students can get the chance to show their artistic talent as well as their creativity in English.

10月份，我校英语组开展了“English Fun Drawing & Writing Competition英文主题画/主题作文竞赛”。让学生把趣味绘画与英文相结合，生动又有趣， 此次活动中， 低年级创作了主题画，同学们兴致勃勃地绘画作品。高年级为主题作文。同学们设计了形式多样，内容丰富的作文。

Our school’s English team held the "English Fun Drawing & Writing Competition in October. Students had combined English with funny painting, which was vivid and interesting. In this activity, the lower grade created the theme painting, students were quite into their painting works. As for senior students, they had designed various forms and rich content of the composition.

这次比赛将美术和英语学科融合，极大地提高了学生的积极性。最后，经过英语老师们的客观公正的评判，评选出了各班一、二、三等奖，并颁发奖状以资鼓励。

This competition combined art and English, which had greatly improved the enthusiasm of  students. At last, after the objective and fair evaluation of English teachers, the first, second and third prizes of each class were selected and certificates were issued as encouragement.
