美凯思 | FUN纵夏天, 别“剧”童心

夏天,是风的气息、蝉的鸣叫和一阵阵欢笑。在美凯思为期一个月的暑期夏令营之旅中,孩子们收获了成长,老师们收获了感动。
In summer, there is the breath of wind, the scream of cicadas and bursts of laughter. During the one-month summer camp trip to MKS, children have gained growth and the teachers have been touched.

夏令营IB课程主题 — 共享地球,我们以孩子最感兴趣的动物为切入点,探究人类与动物分享有限资源时的权利与责任。通过前经验调查后,孩子们探究学习了动物的不同类型,如陆地动物、海底动物、飞行动物等,孩子们在学会这些词汇的同时明白动物如何分类。老师强调所学内容与现实世界相关联,我们请来了真实的小动物,并外出贝尔自然探索乐园近距离观察动物,孩子们兴奋极了!在老师的倡导下,孩子们签署了一份照护动物的协议。
The theme of the summer camp — Sharing the Planet, we choose the animals that children are most interested in as the starting point to explore the rights and responsibilities of humans and animals when they share limited resources. After passing the pre-experience survey, the children explored and learned different types of animals, such as land animals, undersea animals, flying animals, etc. The children learned these vocabulary and understood how to classify animals. Teachers emphasize that what we have learned must be related to the real world. We invited real animals and went out to observe the animals at Bell Nature Discovery Park. The children were very excited! Under the teacher's initiative, the children signed an agreement to care for animals.
随后探讨了人类行为对动物生活环境造成的影响。孩子们了解到乱扔垃圾、打猎会伤害动物,水污染、砍伐森林会使动物失去家园,从此懂得关爱在孩子们的心灵上发了芽。在探究人类在使动物健康生活方面所负的责任方面,孩子们从自身出发,不随手丢垃圾,为流浪动物搭房子等举动,深深打动了老师们。
Subsequently, the impact of human behavior on the living environment of animals is discussed. The children learned that littering and hunting would harm animals, and that water pollution and deforestation would cause animals to lose their homes. Since then, they have learned that care has sprouted in the hearts of children. In exploring the responsibilities of human beings in making animals live healthy, the children started from themselves,they did not throw trash away , and built houses for stray animals, which deeply moved the teachers.
老师与孩子们讨论如何将主题更好的呈现,有人提议用老师预设的成果展 — 戏剧,于是我们的剧目由此拉开……孩子们为戏剧所需采购的道具做预算;为场景布置制作大树、小动物;为剧本情节填充对话……
The teacher discussed with the children how to present the theme  better. Someone proposed to use the teacher's preset achievement exhibition — drama, so our repertoire opened up... the children made a budget for the props they need to purchase; set up the scene to make big trees and small animals; filled in the dialogue for the plot of the script...

剧本主要脉络为:人类去森林游玩把垃圾扔的满地都是,小动物们误以为垃圾是食物,吃了很多造成肚子痛。人类看到受伤的动物就来救助它们,同时他们明白是自己的行为导致动物生病,所以大家一起捡垃圾,保护环境。森林变干净了,小动物们回来了,森林里又充满生机。我们戏剧的名称就叫“Animals don’t Eat Rubbish”。孩子们非常喜欢自己创作的剧本,也都热情的选择自己扮演的角色。
The main context of the script is: human beings go to the forest to play and throw rubbish all over the ground. Small animals mistakenly think that rubbish is food and eat a lot of it and cause stomachache. When human beings see injured animals, they come to rescue them. At the same time, they understand that their actions are causing the animals to get sick, so everyone picks up rubbish together to protect the environment. The forest is clean, the animals are back, and the forest is full of life. The name of our drama is ‘Animals don’t Eat Rubbish’. The children like their own script very much, and they all choose their roles enthusiastically.

我们的排练虽然只有短短的一周时间,但在彩排的过程中,孩子们都认真扮演自己的角色,投入演绎每一场情节。展演终于开始了,孩子及老师们得到家长们热烈的掌声!表演结束,园所为孩子们精心准备了结业典礼活动,孩子们收到了结业证书及动物书籍的礼物。
Although our rehearsal only lasts for one week, during the rehearsal process, the children earnestly play their roles and devote themselves to the interpretation of every plot. The show finally began, children and teachers received warm applause from their parents! At the end of the performance, the kindergarden prepared a graduation ceremony for the children, and the children received a certificate of completion and a gift of animal books.

夏令营在爱与成长中落下帷幕,我们知道在这个夏天,孩子们已经成长,保护动物的种子也已经在孩子们心中种下。
The summer camp came to an end in love and growth. We know that in this summer, children have grown up, and the seeds of protecting animals have been planted in children's hearts.
