柏朗思观澜湖学校（BMH）是英国柏朗思学校在华唯一一所合作学校，双方在学校管理、教师选聘和专业发展、课程设计、老师和学生的交换项目、运动竞技和大学申请等方面进行全面合作。

BMH致力于为2-18岁学生提供优质的双语双文化教育。 学校幼儿园于2015年9月开办，课程体系成熟，受到学生及家长的众多好评。

幼儿园课程融合东西方最佳教育实践，包括IBPYP探究理念，瑞吉欧“游戏中学习”教学法，提供丰富的材料，以最容易接受的方式为孩子提供学习机会，让孩子在游戏中学会探索和思考问题，激发孩子的创造力。

结合英国EYFS和中国《3-6岁儿童发展与指南》，制定我园科学评价体系，主要分为新生适应期评价，探究单元评价，学期评价等。围绕评价，进行有针对性的调整教学。

在语言发展的关键期，提供中英双语沉浸式语言环境，中文主要开展绘本阅读与传统文化学习；英文安排外籍教师全天在班，英文学习内容围绕'Letter and Sound'，'Talk for Writing'，'Phonics'  以及分级阅读等部分开展，孩子毕业时英文在听说读写都会有很大进步。

围绕中西方节日和探究课程需求，每月都有各类活动，孩子们在活动中得到成长和锻炼，体会中西方文化差异。

幼儿园重视艺术的熏陶和孩子行为习惯养成，会开展美术、音乐活动、行为习惯养成课以及安全教育。结合观澜湖独有的自然条件，老师们在户外开展各类活动，观察各类植物，同时体育诸如高尔夫、足球等活动也放在独有的大草坪，让孩子感受自然教育魅力。

目前小小班最大容量为20个学生，小中大每班最大容量为22个学生，让每个孩子都得到最佳照顾。

小班、中班、大班每个班配备3位老师，分别是1名外教、1名中教和1名生活老师，全天跟班。小小班每班固定配置4位教师，其中2位中籍双语老师，2位生活老师，另有1名外籍教师负责英文教学，全方位提供精细化生活护理和语言启蒙。

幼儿园每天提供两点一餐，即早点、午餐、午点。由园内专业的厨师团队精心规划食谱和营养搭配，食材全部保证新鲜健康。

Lauren Petersen | English Curriculum Coordinator

Ms Lauren is an experienced early childhood educator from South Africa who has worked in Schools in China for over 8 years. She enjoys exploring Reggio and Montessori-style teaching methods.

The Pre school curriculum incorporates the best educational practices from both East and West, including the IBPYP and the Reggio 'learning through play' approach, providing enrichment materials and opportunities for children to learn in the most accessible way. Children are taught to explore and think through play and to stimulate their creativity.

Combining the British EYFS and China's "Child Development and Guidelines for 3-6 year olds", we have developed a scientific assessment system for our school, which is divided into new student adaptation assessment, unit of inquiry assessment and termly assessment. Targeted teaching adjustments are made around the assessments.

During the critical period of language development, we provide a bilingual immersive language environment, with Chinese language classes focusing on picture book reading and traditional culture learning.

English language classes are conducted by expatriate teachers throughout the day, with English language learning based on 'Letters and Sound', 'Talk for Writing', 'Phonics' and graded reading. Children make significant progress in reading, writing and listening.

There are various activities each month based around Chinese and Western festivals and the inquiry programme, in which the children experience the differences between Chinese and Western cultures.

The Pre school emphasises the arts and behavioural development of the children, with art and music activities, behavioural development classes and safety education. In conjunction with the unique natural conditions of Mission Hills, teachers conduct various activities outdoors and observe various plants, while sports activities such as golf and football are placed on the unique large lawn, allowing children to experience the charm of nature education.

Our school is located within the Mission Hills Shenzhen resort, which stretches over 20-square kilometres.

BMH is nestled within the green oasis, which is the home of this comprehensive complex, and in particular, our students regularly benefit from lessons across Mission Hills facilities.

The school is equipped with a large real grass playground, outdoor garden, sandpit, children's basketball court, large slide, climbing frame, play pool and a first class kitchen, library, Lego room, art room, outdoor play and gardening area.

The maximum capacity of PreK is 20 students, and the maximum capacity of each K1,K2,K3 class is 22 students, allowing each child to receive the best possible care. Each class is staffed by three teachers, one expatriate teacher, one Chinese teacher and one assistant teacher, who follow the class throughout the day. PreK class is staffed with two bilingual Chinese teachers, two assistant teachers and one expatriate teacher to teach English, providing a full range of care and language enrichment.

The Pre school provides morning snacks, lunch and afternoon snacks every day. The recipes are carefully planned by the professional team of chefs in the Pre School and all ingredients are guaranteed to be fresh and healthy.

The Pre school has four school bus routes - Longhua, Bantian, Guanlan and Mission Hills . The professional school bus company does guarantee the safety of the children.
