FIFA International program has spent the last few months promoting literacy and the love of reading.  Many students have discovered a passion for books and have joined in different department level reading competitions to amass points.  To celebrate FIFA literacy focus and give students even more exposure to books in English, we held our first monthly Book Bistro.  

在过去的几个月里，国际部积极的推进和促进学生的读写能力和对阅读的热爱。在这个过程中，很多学生发现了自己对读书的热情，并且参加了不同科目的阅读比赛以累计积分。例如，中文的古诗词大赛，英文课的读书活动等。为了庆祝这几个月来学生的阅读成果以及阅读兴趣的激发，并且让学生更多的接触英文书籍，我们举办了第一个月度Book Bistro读书餐厅。

Book Cafe 读书餐厅

Grade 8 students created a café environment with table settings, menus and complete with classical background music to set the mood.

为了这次活动的开展，八年级的学生将教室进行了餐桌布置，包括了“菜单”和古典背景音乐来营造“读书餐厅”的氛围。

The older students showed the younger ones to their selected tables just as would be done in a real café.

高年级的学生会引导低年级的学生像是在真正的餐厅里一样在自己选择的桌位上。

However, for this event the “meal” was food for the brain—books!  Students had the main dish (book laid on their plate) along with dessert (self-selected book).  Different genres of reading were present in order for students to “taste” all kinds of writing.  Inside each student’s menu was a list of tasks set for them to interact with their reading: from identifying the title, genre, author to examining the cover for attractiveness, and finally reading the description along with the first page of the book.

然而在这次活动中真正的“大餐”是大脑的食物-书籍！学生有主菜（放在盘子上的书）和甜点（自选书）。为了使学生“品尝”各种写作，呈现了不同的阅读体裁。每个学生的菜单中都列出了一系列任务，使他们可以进行充分的互动趣味阅读：从确定标题，体裁，作者，分析每本书的序言。

At the completion of their Book Bistro visit, students were invited to take their favorite book along to finish reading—their “takeout” meal!  Long after the FIFA Book Bistro closed for the day, students were talking about the event and looking forward to the next chance to visit for a meal of “BRAIN FOOD”.

在完成Book Bistro读书餐厅“就餐”之后，学生们被邀请随身带上他们最喜欢的书以完成他们的“外卖”餐！当天FIFA Book Bistro餐厅关闭很长时间之后，学生们仍旧在谈论这一活动，分享自己选取的“外卖”读物，并期待着下一次机会来品尝“ Brain FOOD”一餐！
