May is our maker month. To change the world by inventing and creating has always been one of the educational concepts that SAIS insists. And maker education is highly valued at SAIS.

五月是我们的创客月！“发明创造、改变世界”一直是SAIS坚持的教学理念之一，创客教育在深美也一直被高度重视。

Design thinking is one of the cores of maker education. In May, combined with the cultural development of school and houses and maker design, the souvenir maker activity of SAIS houses was held in school. In this month, based on the theme of “Four Houses, One School”, each grade participated in different house souvenir designing and making activities.

创客教育的核心之一便是设计思维。五月份，结合学院和学校文化建设、创客设计，全校举行了深美学院纪念品创客月活动。在这一个月里，不同年级以“四个学院一个学校”为主题，进行了不同的学院纪念品设计和制作活动。

Besides,to develop the culture of campus and houses, the whole school participated in the school souvenir logo design competition of 2021, under the theme “Four Houses, One School”. There were 41 students who submitted their designs, they were so creative.

同时，为了建设校园及学院文化，全学校的学生都参与了一个2021年度学校纪念品图案设计大赛。主题是“四个学院一个学校”。有41位同学提交了自己的设计，太有创意了！

The whole school voted on all 41 designs.

最终由全校同学对41个设计作品进行投票。

There were three students selected for the designer of the year award. They are Coco and Phineas from the sixth grade and Ava from the eighth grade.

最终有三位同学的设计入选年度设计师大奖。他们是六年级的Coco和Phineas，以及八年级的Ava！

Coco’s design will be used for the cover picture of the student planner in next school year. The designs of Phineas and Ava are applied to the making of school souvenir caps and bags this school year.

他们三人的设计成为我们学校官方物品的制作模板。其中Coco的设计将用于下一学年学生计划本的封面图案，Phineas和Ava的设计用于本学年学院纪念品帽子和背包的制作。
