新的学期，开启新的希望，承载新的梦想。9月6日，华美外国语学校举行2021-2022学年度第一学期开学典礼，全体师生齐聚学校运动场，背靠梧桐，面迎朝阳，踏上新的征程。

On September 6th, Huamei Foreign Language School held the opening ceremony of the first semester of the 2021-2022 school year.

百年征程，波澜壮阔。咸冰心老师以一首振奋人心、昂扬向上的曲目《灯火里的中国》，拉开了新学期开学典礼的序幕，激励着全校师生奋发前行。

Mrs Xian Bingxin kicked off the opening ceremony of the new semester with an exciting and uplifting song China in Lights.

小小主持人，自信放光彩。401班陈嘉馨同学与601班刘禹涵同学搭档上台，中英双语主持本次开学典礼，让整场仪式有序、高效顺利推进。

Chen Jiaxin, Class 401, and Liu Yuhan, Class 601, took the stage together and presided over the opening ceremony in both Chinese and English.

仪式进行第一项，升国旗，奏唱国歌。全校师生肃穆站立，在“向国旗敬礼”的庄严宣告中，中国国歌《义勇军进行曲》响起，师生一齐向国旗行注目礼，整齐地唱起国歌。

For the first ceremony, raise the national flag and sing the national anthem.

雄关漫道真如铁，而今迈步从头越。王满英校长以《守望》为题，以“回顾、坚守、展望”为关键词，语重心长地与全校师生家长作分享。王校长希望全校师生携手共进，立足新时代，站在新起点，在规范中落实，在融合中创新，在追求与坚守中升华，共创华美未来美好明天！

Wang Manying, the principal, took Watching as the title and "Review, Perseverance and Prospect" as the key words, and shared it with the parents of the whole school.

学生发展中心何小军主任在仪容仪表、卫生文明、校纪校规、习惯养成四大方面，给学生们提出了新的要求，希望学生们在新学期塑造新面貌，成为更好的自己。

Director He Xiaojun of Student Development Center put forward new requirements for students in four aspects: standards of appearance, hygiene and civilization, school discipline and rules, and habit formation.

副校长徐幸操宣读表彰决定，表彰2020-2021学年第二学期的华美学习之星、励志之星、学科之星以及暑假期间表现优异的“运动达人、阅读达人、生活达人、科学达人”等。学校领导上台为获表彰的优秀学生颁奖。

School leaders took the stage to present awards to outstanding students.

“朱砂启智”，即用朱砂为刚刚入学的孩子的额头正中点上红痣，这又称之为“开天眼”，寓意着孩子从此眼明心亮，好读书，读好书。王校长亲自在孩子们的额头中心点上红痣，期盼孩子们开启智慧，健康成长。

Principal Wang personally put a red mole on the center of the children's forehead, hoping that the children will open up their wisdom and grow up healthily.

最后，华美外国语学校全体学生举起右拳，庄严宣誓：我热爱我的学校，严格遵守校规校纪，在家做个好孩子，在校做个好学生，在社会做个好公民，无论何时何地何种情况，都坚持做到：

文明礼貌，遵守公德，团结友爱，亲切待人；

爱护公物，维护秩序，见义勇为，弘扬正气；

崇尚科学，继承文明，尊师乐学，坚韧自信；

勤学守纪，勇于奉献，自强不息，励志成才；

热爱祖国，热爱学校，根深中华，美绽世界。

All the students of Huamei Foreign Language School raised their right fists and solemnly swore.
