课外课活动 | After School Activities
从小到大我们就听过一句谚语“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”，劳逸结合在提高孩子学习效率上效果显著。课外活动通过舒展肢体、交流互动的方式，让孩子们的大脑切换成“休息模式”，身心获得愉悦与放松，课堂学习才会更为专注，效率更高。
在深圳诺德安达双语学校，我们的课外活动ASA（After School Activities）包罗万象，包括运动、音乐、戏剧、科学、语言、技术等等，为孩子提供充足的选择。
ASA的开展旨在让学生在一天繁忙的学习结束下，可以走出课室，感受生命在户外的扩张；可以走近艺术与科学的殿堂，探索生活更多的可能性。ASA是我们学校自从办学以来就开展的重点项目，课堂的知识在学生看来可能只是“义务”，但是在课外课堂中，他们的求知的欲望被释放了，他们勇于尝试，感受到了文化的多样性，才会回过头来认真学好每一门知识，促进自主学习。

在深圳诺德安达双语学校，我们有一个约定俗成的规定，学校会开放一周的时间，让老师开班或者邀请外部机构在学校开设“体验摊位”，供学生们自由选择，家长不做介入。学生们欢快地穿梭在校园每个场地，体验不同的新鲜课程。在这周内，他们要“深思熟虑”，为自己选择喜欢且适合自己的课程，通过这个简单的小举动，让学生们学会对自我负责。

The combination of work and rest has a significant effect on improving children's learning efficiency. After school activities contribute children’s brains to switch to a "rest mode" by stretching their limbs and communicating and interacting, so that the body and mind will be happy and relaxed, and the classroom learning will be more focused and more efficient.
From sports and music to drama, science, languages, technology and more, there’s an ASA for every interest at our school. Please click the video to see our after school activities.
Our ASA aims to allow students to walk out of the classroom and feel the expansion of life outdoors at the end of a busy day of study. They can approach the palace of art and science and explore more possibilities in life. ASA is a key project that our school has carried out since the school was established. The knowledge in the classroom may be just "obligation" for students, but in the extracurricular classroom, their desire for knowledge is released. They have the courage to try and feel the cultural diversity, and come back to learn every knowledge carefully and promote independent learning.

AUTONOMY IN ASA?
At NAS Shenzhen, we have a customary rule that the school will be open for one week to allow teachers to open classes or invite external organizations to open "experience ASA" in the school for students to choose freely, and parents will not intervene. Students happily shuttled through each site on the campus to experience different fresh courses. During this week, they must think carefully and choose courses that they like and suit them. Through this simple little act, students will learn to be responsible for themselves.

文化类课外活动包括国画、国际象棋、陶艺、模拟联合国、新闻社、纸板手工、手工皮革等。
运动类课外活动包括足球、跆拳道、羽毛球、篮球、马术、高尔夫、击剑、射箭、网球等。
表演艺术类

表演艺术类课外活动包括现代舞、中国舞、街舞、戏剧、魔术、钢琴、打击乐等。
学术类课外活动包括编程、财商课、智能机器人、昆虫研究、奥林匹克数学、工程等。

Cultural activities include Chinese painting, chess, pottery, Model United Nations, Nord News agency, cardboard crafting, handmade leather, etc.
Sports activities include football, taekwondo, badminton, basketball, equestrianism, golf, fencing, archery, tennis, etc.

Performing arts activities include modern dance, Chinese dance, street dance, drama, magic, piano, percussion, etc.
Academic activities include coding, finance and business classes, intelligent robots, insect research, Olympic mathematics, engineering, etc.
In addition, we will lead students to participate in various inter-school and international competitions from time to time. We just successfully held the AMC math competition last week; this semester we will also paticipate in an inter-school competition between the school's men's/women's basketball team and football team.
