经过一个月的层层评选,深圳诺德安达双语学校第一届中文诗歌大赛 - 兰亭诗韵 圆满结束。恭喜以下获奖的“小诗人”:

让人惊讶的是,本届诗歌比赛并不止为高年级学生开展,我们惊喜地发现作品展中有不少一二年级学生的作品。这么小的孩子居然也能进行诗歌创作?太不可思议了吧!


为此,我们邀请到了本次诗歌大赛的创办者及组织者Jenny老师,揭秘诗歌创作中与语言习得相辅相成的秘密。

Jenny老师毕业于华中师范大学汉语言文学专业。曾在新加坡和北京的国际学校进行语文教学,有着超过7年的一线海外教学、双语教学和合作教学经验。熟悉国内中小学课程的知识能力框架,同时对美国Common Core,PYP课程以及英式课程也有着丰富的课程设计与教学经验。荣获一等优秀教师。


孩子其实天生就可以成为诗人。许多孩子看待事物的角度十分富有想象力,这些都是值得珍惜的。所以让孩子爱上诗歌的第一步,是要保护他们的好奇心和想象力。

After a month of selection, NASSZ 1st Chinese Poetry Competition came to a successful conclusion. Congratulations to the following award-winning "little poets":

Surprisingly, the poetry competition is not just for secondary students. We were pleasantly surprised to find that there are many works by G1, G2 students in the exhibition. Such a small child can actually make poetry? It's incredible! To this end, we invited Mrs Jenny, the founder and organizer of this poetry contest, to reveal the secrets of the complementarity between poetry creation and language acquisition.

Mrs Jenny graduated from Huazhong Normal University with a major in Chinese Language and Literature. She has taught Chinese in international schools in Singapore and Beijing, and has more than 7 years of experience in first-line overseas teaching, bilingual teaching and cooperative teaching. She is familiar with the knowledge and ability framework of domestic primary and secondary schools, and at the same time have rich curriculum design and teaching experience for Common Core, PYP courses and British courses in the United States. And she also won the first-class excellent teacher.


In fact, children are born to be poets. Many children see things from a very imaginative perspective, which is worth cherishing. So the first step for children to fall in love with poetry is to protect their curiosity and imagination.

 深圳诺德安达是一所双语学校,

在语文学科方面,如何做到双语融合?

首先是课程的目标和学习内容的安排,在开学前,学校所有相关老师一起合作,进行调整。我们会将英文的主题和中文的主题对比、配合,用概念来联结。比如五年级第一个大主题为“关于人”,我们选取的概念是“联系”,孩子们需要理解的是:人与人互相联系在一起能创造社区。通过概念的链接,进行内容的整合,目标的调整。不同学科老师之间紧密地配合,让母语支持英语学习,英语学习同样能配合母语学习。 


其次,在教学方面,语文学科的教学方面,我们会有意识地加强孩子对概念的理解,同时巩固重点词汇,能帮助他们的英语学习。


再次,在评估方面,今年我们加强了不同形式的形成性评估。以五年级为例,五年级第一、二单元配合了大主题“关于人”,我就让孩子去设计一个城市。设计这个活动的主要目的是让学生了解,城市的特质和生活在社区里的人息息相关。所以孩子们除了要思考城市结构、环境、人物关系、标志物等等,还需要通过不限形式的作品设计,如使用海报、乐高、瓦楞纸等,同步实现跨学科的知识融合。

 语文课孩子们都跑到户外去上了,

 这是什么情况?

孩子们的学习,不应该只局限于教室。上一次去户外上课是一年级的拼音课,我让孩子们出去进行拼音跳房子的活动。随着年龄发展,孩子的需求是不同的,但他们都有一个共同的需求,那就是游戏。比起死记硬背,游戏闯关会激发孩子们的学习的兴趣,注意力自然而然就集中了。在游戏中,还能学会合作,学会解决问题。对于一二年级的孩子来说就更是如此,一二年级的孩子的注意力有限,更换上课的环境和方式会让孩子保持注意力,从而得到更好的学习效果。


学校有许多学习资源,都可以用上。比如我会让我六年级的学生去图书馆小剧场做演讲,让孩子们更有仪式感,从而更能感受演讲的气氛;我也会让我五年级的学生去电脑室查找资料,以训练他们提取信息的能力。换场景上课不是随意换个地方,是有一定的教学目的的。语文课也可以去体育馆上,只要他对孩子的学习有益,我们就会灵活使用学校的学习场所和资源。

 How do we achieve Bilingual Excellence in our school

The first is the arrangement of the course objectives and learning content. Before the beginning of the school, all relevant teachers cooperate together. We will compare and match English themes with Chinese themes, and connect them with concepts. For example, the first major theme of the G5 is "about people". The concept we chose is "connection". What children need to understand is that connecting people to each other can create a community. Through conceptual links, the integration of content and the adjustment of goals are carried out. Teachers of different subjects work closely together and support English learning.


Secondly, in terms of teaching and language teaching, we will consciously strengthen children's understanding of concepts, while consolidating key vocabulary, which can help them learn English.


Third, in terms of evaluation, this year we strengthened different forms of formative evaluation. Taking the G5 as an example, the first and second units of the fifth grade fit the big theme "about people", so I let the children design a city. The main purpose of designing this activity is to let students understand that the characteristics of the city are closely related to the people living in the community. Therefore, in addition to thinking about the urban structure, environment, character relationships, landmarks, etc., children also need to realize the integration of interdisciplinary knowledge through the design of works of unlimited form, such as the use of posters, Lego, and corrugated paper.

 What happened that the children taking a Chinese class outside? 

Children's learning should not be limited to the classroom. The last time I went to an outdoor class was a G1 pinyin class, and I asked the children to go out for a pinyin hopscotch activity. With the development of age, children's needs are different, but they all have one common need, that is, games. Compared with rote memorization, playing games will stimulate children's interest in learning, and their attention will naturally be concentrated. In the game, you can also learn to cooperate and learn to solve problems. This is especially true for children in G1 & G2 cause they have limited attention. Changing the environment and method of class will keep the children's attention and get better learning results. 


There are many learning resources available in the school. For example, I will let my G6 students go to the small theater in the library to give speeches, so that the children will feel more ritual and feel the atmosphere of the speech; I will also let my G5 students go to the computer room to find information for training their ability to extract information. Changing scenes to class is not about changing places randomly, it has a certain teaching purpose. The Chinese class can also go to the gym. As long as it is beneficial to the children's study, we will use the school's learning space and resources flexibly.
