MIS 2022  "Royal Mile" Global Elite Scholarship Programme

We aim to choose the best students with the best teachers and resources, and assist students to enter the UK’s top universities such as Cambridge, Oxford and the other G5 super elite.

Located in Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland, Merchiston Castle School has a history of nearly 200 years and a rich academic heritage. In May 1833, Charles Chalmers took a lease of Merchiston Castle,(the former home of John Napier of logarithm fame) which at that time stood in rural surroundings and opened his academy, starting with some 30 boys. Yearly, 10% of MCS graduates attend Oxford and Cambridge and other Top10 universities. More than 30% attend the G5 group of universities and other top 30 universities. MCS students possess the five characteristics: outstanding academic achievement, sportsmanship, scientific literacy, artistic characteristics and social responsibility. MIS, as the first overseas school of MCS, also inherits its tradition of academic excellence and the “whole person” education. From 2019 onwards graduated students have achieved remarkable academic achievements with offers from world-class universities. Many of graduates attended the G5 universities such as Imperial College and University College London.  In 2021, 100% of graduates attended the top 30 universities, they also  received offers from the University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

MIS is currently in it's fourth academic year and we propose four dimensions to further enhance our achievement.   MIS is a school of happiness, character, academic excellence and the British boarding school for elite education with the best understanding of China. From Year 10 to Year 13, a series of innovations were carried out to create "academic excellence", so the "Royal Mile" Global Elite Scholarship Programme was born accordingly. We welcome elite students from around the world to participate who are eligible for this scholarship programme;

曼彻斯通城堡学校MCS位于英国爱丁堡近郊，建造于英国著名的数学家“对数”发明人内皮尔家族的土地上，有着近200年的历史，MCS每年有10%的毕业生升入牛津、剑桥大学等世界TOP10大学，有30%以上学生升入G5或世界TOP30大学,卓越的学术成就与体育精神、科学素养、艺术特质、社会责任五大特质承载了这所苏格兰男子第一的寄宿制学校的过去与未来。深圳曼彻斯通城堡学校MIS，作为英国曼彻斯通城堡学校的首家海外分校，同样继承了其学术卓越的优良传统及Whole person全人教育理念，开学4年来在深圳乃至大湾区取得了斐然的成绩。自2019年以来连续三届毕业生，均获得世界一流大学的录取，其中不乏以优异的成绩升入帝国理工学院、伦敦大学学院等G5大学。2021年，有100%毕业生升入世界TOP30大学，连续两届毕业生获得香港大学、香港理工大学、香港中文大学Offer。
