When graduating, I also have great expectations for all the graduates: in addition to being excellent in terms of academic performance and physical health, an outstanding student must also have such following characteristics as self-consciousness, free spirit, compassion and kindness. These qualities are the very things we would like our students to cultivate. It is my sincere hope that every graduate can become such a person.

Graduating students, if I had one word to describe you all, it would be resilient.  Despite some hard tasks, sadness and grief, extended online learning and lockdowns that you have encountered in the past few years, at the end of it all, you completed this part of your journey with great achievements and beautiful memories.

Sometimes the right thing may seem wrong to most people but only after practice will the truth reveal itself. Two years ago, few of you would have dared to imagine that in September this year you would be sitting in one of the top 100 universities in the world, or even one of the top 10 universities in the world. The impossible becomes possible when you break down the complex task into simple, manageable tasks and repeat those simple tasks. Repetitiveness might seem wrong in the eyes of some, but it is the way to true mastery. I'm sure you will remember the experience you had here, and that will help you overcome life's challenges in the future. That persistence is one of the most valuable things you've learned in the last two years.

You have all grown up with the ability to detect problems, but remember that pessimists and complainers are often right, but optimists are often happy and successful.

The reason why my daughter, Claire, can achieve good results in the new stage of life is because of her own choice. "Choice is more important than effort" is what I think is the only way to succeed. Because when my child chose SIFC, she completed the first counterattack in her life, transforming from an art student with almost no science foundation into a business student. Here, there are teachers who encourage and support her, and there is an inclusive and warm educational environment, making her inner self-confidence even stronger. If the child is a rose with thorns, SIFC is just like a garden in which gardeners choose not to pull out her thorns and let her grow painfully, but to provide a more tolerant environment and more suitable soil for her to bloom.

Two years ago, I was about to enter the key node of the application season, and in order to arrange the time to complete the portfolio more reasonably and improve my artistic accomplishment as much as possible, I was forced to transfer out of my comfort zone to enter the art class of SIFC. It was the most adventurous decision I'd ever made in my high school years, but it also became the most rewarding change on my path to school. True strength is not to forget but to accept, to accept the impermanence of the world, to accept loneliness and frustration, to accept the sudden feeling of powerlessness, to accept our imperfections, to accept confusion, anxiety, and regret, to adjust our state, to find the strength to continue to move forward, to become a better self.  I wish you all a bright future, each working hard, and seeing each other at the peak. When you go abroad, pay attention to safety, and always gather with the people who you miss.

Another treasure that I found in sifc is the group of friend that I encountered. we are the trouble sisters, but their unwavering support has made me brave enough to face those uncertain moments and summon the courage to go on and make these two-year challenge complete.  Iam  actually not an expressive person in front of my friends, but taking advantage of this chance, I wanna say ‘ maggie, wendy , Rachel and amber- thankyou for being my friends and being my backup’. In the end, Retrospecting everything in the past two years, The building carries too much hate and love out of us because of those countless days that we spent here. Despite the unhappiness, those moments are now something worth memorizing for the rest of our life. So congratulation to all of us , good luck and the sincerest wishes for you all.
