创校总校长孔美琪博士在丽林维育学校开学前曾与家长分享到，自2001年在深圳创办第一所维多利亚幼儿园以来，每年都听到毕业生和家长希望继续就读维多利亚的呼声，因此也一直希望在深圳建设一所理想学校。这件事的达成需要人、情、事的有机结合；从香港到内地，从幼儿园到中小学，育人、重情、实干也是孔博士不变信念。

在今年上半年获得“筹设证“后，丽林维育学校成功达到各项指标，在新学期开学前顺利拿到了九年一贯制民办学校牌照。

At the Open Day for VPA, Dr. Koong shared with parents that, that since 2001 when she founded the first Victoria Kindergarten in Shenzhen, she always has parents of Shenzhen Victoria Kindergarten graduates asking her when Victoria will open a primary school in Shenzhen, so that the graduates of Shenzhen Victoria Kindergarten can continue their studies in Victoria. From Hong Kong to Mainland, and from kindergarten to primary school, Dr. Koong’s educational vision is to care for, listen to, share with and respect students. VPA will live up to the exceptions and continue the philosophy of educating students to be benevolent, provide outstanding education, and nourish the vision and mission of Victoria.

Ms. Liang, the School Board Member,  Dr. Koong, the Head of academy, Principal Yuan, and the management team will lead VPA to open the new page.

After receiving the school “Preparation License,” VPA met all of the requirements issued by the Education Bureau, and then received the “Private K9 School License”.

享负盛名的沪江维多利亚学校（VSA）是香港首间“一条龙“IB学校，在总校长孔美琪博士的带领下多次入围全球前50所最佳成绩IB学校。在全球平均分下降的2022年大考中，沪江维多利亚逆势而为，全体毕业生以39.5的平均分为自己在维多利亚的学习生涯交上满意的答卷，其中更有三位满分状元和九位榜眼。

丽林维育学校由香港沪江维多利亚（VSA）总校长孔美琪博士亲自坐镇，延续VSA的DNA，力求成为具有深圳特色、重视全人教育和学术优异的双语名校。孔美琪博士有近40年的教学管理经验，领导双语学校二十余年，对于学生升学路径，孔博士早已走在大多数家长前面，为学生做了具有前瞻性的多重路线、多重选择、和多种可能性的升学规划。

The prestigious Victoria Shanghai Academy (VSA) is the first “through-train” IB school in Hong Kong. The graduates from this year achieved an IBDP average of 39.5 to hand in a satisfying answer sheet for their own academia. Moreover, three of them received a perfect score.

VPA is guided and led by the Head of VSA, Dr. Maggie Koong. Dr. Maggie Koong has aspirations for VPA to become a leader in the Shenzhen education and school community, and be a school that focuses on whole-person education, and achieves excellence in academic performance. Dr. Koong has nearly 40 years of experience in school management, and has been guiding bilingual schools for over 20 years. Regarding to students’ academic pathways, Dr. Koong offers parents and students an international education environment, pathway and alternatives.

孔博士认为，当前世界形势多变，学生无需过早确认将来的就学的路径。但可以确认的是，未来的学习者需要很强的学习能力，因此在9年级这个分岔路口到来以前，学校和学生应两条腿走路，多管齐下。在高质量落实国家课程基础上，小学阶段借鉴IBPYP探究课程设计，充分挖掘学生自主能动性；初中阶段借鉴MYP课程，以扎实学科基础及跨学科概念驱动、转化及应用，注重思维启发。在经历了9年级的中考和10年级的IGCSE大考以后，对学生的学习能力和风格有了更好的认识， 再做下一步的规划。孔博士提及如在深圳开高中，会在10年级的IGCSE大考后提供DP及DSE的课程。

Dr. Koong believes that in this ever-changing world, students do not need to confirm their academic paths too early, and that schools need to provide multiple pathways for a student’s education. In the future, students will not only need strong overall learning abilities, and the ability to study the Chinese National Curriculum at a high level, but also possess the inquiry, transdisciplinary, agency and other skills that students develop through the IB PYP and IB MYP. After students take the Zhongkao in year 9 and IGSCE in year 10, students and parents will have a better understanding of student abilities and learning styles. If Dr. Koong and Victoria later open a high school in Shenzhen, she has plans for the school to offer IB DP or DSE.

丽林维育学校是维多利亚（中国）教育集团在内地管理的第一所中小学。维多利亚的教学方法以学生为本，以培养学生的批判性思考能力和多元的思维能力为核心，在追求学术卓越的同时，助力学生成为真正的双语学习者。

1965年：孔博士的母亲、丁毓珠女士和胞姐在香港创办维多利亚幼儿园；

1984年：创立第一所双语小学；

1998年：维多利亚的总校长孔美琪博士在上海创办内地第一所维多利亚幼儿园，扎根内地教育，致力促进两地文化教育的深度交流；

2004年：香港沪江维多利亚获得了政府拨款资助建立；

2012年：香港沪江维多利亚学校成为国际学校理事会（CIS）的成员。

VPA is is the first K9 School run by Victoria (China) Education Group in Chinese Mainland. The core of Victoria’s way of teaching is putting students first, training students’ critical thinking and diverse mindsets, and helping students to become real bilingual learners along with pursuing excellent academic performance.

1965: Dr. Koong’s mother, Ms. Christina Ting Yuk Chee founded the first Victoria kindergarten with the mission of providing a high standard bilingual education for Hong Kong children;

1984: Founded the first bilingual Victoria elementary school;

1998: The Head of Victoria Academy - Dr. Koong founded the first Victoria kindergarten in Chinese Mainland in Shanghai, rooted into Mainland education and promoted the cultural and educational connection between these two places;

2004: A subsidy was granted by the government for the site and construction cost of the Victoria campus at Shum Wan Road.

2012: VSA became a member of Council of International School (CIS).

VPA通过全球招聘了24位高素质全职教师，他们来自英国、美国、新加坡、澳大利亚、中国香港、中国台湾等多地学校，有丰富的教学经验。其中，核心领导层和教师有1/3来自于姊妹校-香港沪江维多利亚学校以及维多利（中国）教育集团旗下其他机构。

VPA has hired 24 highly qualified full-time teachers from all over the world. Teachers are from Britain, the United States, Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The faculty have rich experience in teaching and of the teachers, 1/3 of the teachers come from VSA and other schools under the Victoria (China) Education Group.

丽林维育学校的“山水校园”为学生提供了充足的户外空间，教室的环境布置也让学生的课间活动更加丰富多彩。户外区域占地2万多平米，建有4个足球场、2个篮球场、2个网球场和1个全体田径运动场，并配有200米跑道、100米跑道、器材区和沙坑。正念空间、DEAR（Drop Everything and Read）图书馆、创客空间（Maker Space）等特色区域也深受学生喜爱。

VPA is a school that provides a superior ecological environment, has plentiful outdoor space for students, and classrooms that are conducive for learning. The outdoor space covers an area of over 20,000 square meters, and includes 2 football fields, 2 basketball courts, 2 tennis courts, and a 200-meter running track. Mindfulness Space, DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) Library, Maker Space and other special areas are also students’ favorite places.
