今天，丽林维育维多利亚学校（VPA）首届运动会取得圆满成功！孩子们与全体教职员工以及部分热心家长共同度过了喜悦的一天。

每个班级都井然有序地入场，为大家献上排练了多日的表演。

孩子们奋力奔跑、团结合作、互相鼓励、加油助威，充分体现出大家的体育精神，勇敢面对挫折、团结互助的良好品格。这些正是VPA在日常教学中十分注重的元素，也包含在了IB十大培养目标中。

运动会充斥着比赛，比赛中必定有输赢。比赛前，有的孩子会紧张；比赛中，有的孩子会失误；但是比赛后，我们很欣喜地看到，孩子们都能用一颗积极的心面对输赢。

最令全校沸腾的必然是拔河比赛。孩子们卯足了劲，老师们也都咬紧牙关。

孩子们拔完后便轮到了家长和老师，平时素未谋面的家长们，在这一刻都像是多年好友一般齐心协力。

老师们也积极参与各项活动，为此特别组织了一场教职工人员之间的4x100接力赛。

通过本次运动会，我们发现：

孩子们会为自己的团队鼓气，也会为他人的胜利喝彩，

会勇夺冠军，也会坦然接受失败，

会在阳光下追逐，也会默默为伙伴撑起一把伞。

Today was VPA's first ever sports day, and it was a complete success! Children had a wonderful day with all the staff and some enthusiastic parents.

Each class entered in an order, presenting a show that had been rehearsed for days.

Children were running, cooperating, encouraging each other, cheering everyone up, which fully reflected their sportmanship to face failures, and help each other.

Sports Day is full of competitions, and copetition contains winning and losing. Before the games, some children were nervous; during the games, some children made mistakes; but we are glad to see that after the games, they all had positive atitudes.

The most exciting part must be the tug of war. Children were all firing on and teachers were very nervous to watch the game.

After the children finished their games, teachers and parents had their turn and they were like good old friends even if they never met each other before.

Teachers also had other activities such as 4x100 relay race.

Through this sports day, we could see that:

Our children would cheer up their own team and celebrate the victories of others,

would fight for the champion and accept failures,

would chase under the sun and hold up and umbrella for their friends.
