Learning is everywhere. In FIFA, we attach importance to academic learning in class, and also provide students with rich development opportunities. The theme of our movie day is actually a PBL which helps students analyze and solve real problems in life.

9月25日，五一班成功地举办了本学期第一次电影日活动。三周的时间里，孩子们经过了无数次的讨论、研究和认真的排练，从细致的分工到临场的应对，齐心协力地策划和完成了这次的活动。这次电影日，孩子们不仅拥有很多珍贵难忘的记忆，还收获了很多策划活动的经验，懂得了团结合作的重要性。

The students of class G5 – 1 planned and organized the first Movie Day event of the fall semester.  The event was held on Friday, September 25, 2020.  The event was a big success and will be a memorable experience for the students of class G5 – 1.  They worked hard on the planning stage of the event and performed their duties as managers successfully during the event.

9月7日，我们进行了第一次班级会议，孩子们为选择合适的电影进行了一次头脑风暴。在众多的儿童电影中，我们考虑了《小黄人大眼萌》和《花木兰》等电影，到最终锁定《精灵旅社3》，因为孩子们觉得，它在让小朋友们因其幽默而哈哈大笑的同时，也会因其中的父女之情感到温馨感人，很值得一看。

On September 7th, the students had their first meeting.  They brainstormed ideas to choose a movie that was appropriate and entertaining for the audience.  The movie they chose was Hotel Transylvania 3, given its plot and comedic value which they thought was perfect for the young audience.  Other movies considered were  Minions and Mulan. 

在确定电影后，我们开始着手海报、影票和宣传活动等设计，其中Angelina有较丰富的创作经验，根据故事的主题和背景，带领全班一起进行图片和文字的设计，最终活动海报和电影票都完美产生了。精美的海报吸引了众多学生，于是预售的第一周就售出了绝大部分的门票。

The students designed posters to advertise the event.  Angelina was the designer, given her creativity and experience with design software.  She also used this experience to design the movie tickets.  The design of the posters and tickets reflected the theme of the event.  The event was highly anticipated, and the tickets were sold quickly. 

在多次的排练中，孩子们逐渐明确了各自的分工和职责。Gary同学担任举牌手，Angelina同学和Vivian同学负责检票，Chloe同学负责零食的售卖，Sophia和Catherine同学负责拉帘幕，Elizabeth同学负责管控全场的纪律。虽然最后因为Gary同学家里有事无法参加，但孩子们灵活应对，做了职务上的调整，最终出色地完成了这次大型的活动。

On the day of the event, the students were fully ready with their assignments and duties in mind.  Originally, Gary was assigned “Sign Boy”, Angelina and Vivian were assigned ticket booth duties, Chloe was given the title of “Snack Helper”, Sophia and Catherine were assigned the job of “Curtain Helpers”, and Elizabeth was given inspector duties.  Unfortunately, Gary was unable to attend and some minor adjustments were made.  This did not prevent the students from performing their duties efficiently and the event went on wonderfully.  

整个活动下来，锻炼了孩子们各项的活动组织策划能力，从收集资料，按步计划，到舞台执行，细心地去设想每个年级的学生在现场会遇到的状况，一一制定方案和灵活调整，一步步地从实践中学习经验。感谢五一班孩子们共同的努力，在九月炎热的下午，为K到4年级的孩子们提供了一个共同观赏电影，乐在其中的精彩电影日体验。

The students learned many management skills in the planning and executing stages of this event.  Skills that are better learned hands on.  They fully took advantage of this learning opportunity and the students of GK – G4 were able to enjoy a late-afternoon movie and snacks with their classmates thanks to the efforts of the students from class G5-1. 

当活动结束的时候，每一个孩子都在喊：“我累死了”。尽管她们喊着累死了，但我分明看到她们眼中的光彩，那是一份份责任心以及付出后收获的喜悦。我们在付出与帮助他人的过程中认识到自己的价值和意义。再次感谢5-1班的孩子们，为你们的精彩表现喝彩。

感谢在背后默默支持的5-1班的家长们，我们一起努力，给孩子创设最好的学习环境。

At the end of the event, every child said, "I'm tired to death.". Although they cry tired to death,  I clearly see the brilliance in their eyes, it is a sense of responsibility and joy after giving. We realize our value and significance in the process of giving and helping others. Thanks again to the children of class 5-1, and cheer for your wonderful performance again。
