这一刻, 丽林维育学校,
每一个环节井然有序,

伴随着晨间的艳阳,VPA全体老师和行政团队共同迎接学生们来到了校园。学生、家长和老师们对此都期盼已久,今天总算从眼见到为实!
Under the bright sunlight, the whole faculty of VPA welcomed our students on campus this morning. Student, parents, and teachers have all been looking forward to it, and it’s finally here-from vision to reality!

Principal Yuan:

I hope that our students at VPA could have curiosity and the ability to explore, love learning and have the ability to learn continuously; they will have both patriotism and a global views; They love others, love the world, love the nature, and love themselves, they are risk-takers who are brave to face the challenges, to make their dreams come true, to be excellent, and to influence the world.
副校长Adam Hill:
我们需要对世界有全面的认知,并能够在社会发展的进程中全力以赴。
传统教育与当下社会的发展不再有关联。在这个科技高速发展的世界,很多教育理念已经不再适用,教育的变化赶不上科技的变化。然而令我自豪的是,维校应用了当下十分前沿的教学理念和方法,学生将接受适合21世纪发展的教育。
其中,品格教育占据前所未有的重要地位。当机器人和AI的的发展成为了主流趋势,我们必须确保人类生而为人不可替代的品质和能力, 如协作力、创作力、和共情能力都能得到发展。
我们希望学生成为善良、有国际思维的终生学习者。我们需要对世界有全面的认知,并能够在社会发展的进程中尽己所能,全力以赴。
Vice Principal Adam Hill:
It’s also essential that students are internationally minded in order to thrive in our world that is increasingly connected.
The problem with a traditional education is that it is no longer relevant. It does not meet the needs of today’s students. Generally speaking, education has not evolved fast enough to keep up with rapid changes in society. I am proud that VPA offers a forward-thinking education that is exciting and relevant in the 21st century.
This includes character education, which is more important than ever. As robots and artificial intelligence become increasingly mainstream, we must develop the human skills and attributes that technology can’t replicate, such as collaboration, creativity and empathy. With a bilingual IB education, students become motivated life-long learners. It’s also essential that students are internationally minded in order to thrive in our world that is increasingly connected.
李婧副校长:
在积极探究中收获宝贵的知识,在沟通交流中理解他人和我们所生活的世界
我希望VPA的学生能够对世界充满好奇心。在学习的旅途中,他们能勇于接受不同的挑战、不断思考和发问,在积极探究中收获宝贵的知识,在沟通交流中理解他人和我们所生活的世界。
同时我也希望孩子们在学习和反思的过程中,建立起积极的自我及社会认知,成为一个有责任感的终身学习者。

To receive precious knowledge through inquiry, and to understand others and the world we live in through communication.
I hope that students at VPA could be curious about the world. In their journey of learning, they could have the courage to accept different challenges, to think and ask continuously, to receive precious knowledge through inquiry, and to understand others and the world we live in through communication. At the same time, I wish children to establish positive self- and social-awareness through the process of learning and reflecting, and become responsible life-long learners.
已知的概念和理论已经不足以支撑未来学习者的发展和成长。在最爱做梦的年纪,天马行空的想象是一种常态。每一个梦想都值得被尊重,每一个想象都是自驱力的火种。学生在课堂中应用跨学科的概念去整理、延展、反思及行动;日积月累,梦想终将成为现实。
The knowledge and concepts that are already proved cannot support the development and growth of a student in the future. At the age of being a dreamer, imagination often occurs. Every dream is worth to be respected, every imagination is the fire for self-motivation. Students use the concept of interdisciplinary inquiry learning to sorting out, going further, reflecting, and taking act; with days and nights, the dream will eventually come true.
