Among SIFC graduates, Christy Zhong is special. She is well-behaved, calm, her voice is gentle and firm, and there is always a strength in her body, which makes people want to talk to her more.

“遵从本心，把最真实的自己交给未来。” Christy在实现人生阶段性的目标后，淡淡地说道。Christy是深国预首届A-Level毕业生，她即将前往伦敦大学学院（UCL），继续勇敢地去探索、去尝试、去挖掘新的可能。

Christy said that she likes a quote from the Russian writer Korolenko - "A man is first and foremost a creature who pushes himself toward a future and knows that he is doing so." This inner voice ”Do your best in everything at the moment, and once you make up your mind, stick to it” supports her along the way. More than 100 years ago, Korolenko may not have expected that one day in the future, a girl will inherit his strength to become the best version of herself, calmly and firmly.

沉重说明在往上走

Christy是疫情期间从英国回流的留学生，只身一人赴英国留学，她经历了太多不易。也许正是这些历练，造就了现在这个独立、自律、不服输的她。

Christy is an international student who came back from the UK due to Covid-19 pandemic. She went to study in the UK alone. She has experienced too many difficulties. Perhaps it is these experiences that have created this independent and strong girl.

曾经的她看不懂数学卷子，就一股脑儿地泡在自习室里钻研；考体育的时候，因为运动基础不好，就每天比别人多跑一点，最后获得了满分；申请季的时候，她一度因为没有收到offer而觉得人生被按下了“暂停键”，但很快地她便重新调整好心态，开启新的征程。

In the past, she couldn't understand math papers, so she spent a long time studying in the study room; when she took the physical exam, because of her poor physical foundation, she practiced a little more every day than others, and finally got full marks; during the application season, she was frustrated when she didn't receive any offer for a long time, but soon she readjusted her mentality and started a new journey.

她感慨地说：“申请季的我们没有标准答案，也没有阅卷老师告诉你正不正确，不是所有努力都有好结果。渐渐地，发现生活中越来越多的事情，每一次交卷，都是短兵相接，真刀真枪。我当然希望自己能以优异成绩完成学业、成就自己、改变世界，做一个有很多前缀的成功学姐。但我更希望，遵从本心，把最真实的自己交给未来。”

She said with emotion: "We don't have standard answers during the application season, and we don't have the grading teacher to tell you whether it is correct or not. Not all efforts have good results. Gradually, I found that more and more things in life are not as expected. Of course I I hope I can achieve excellent grades, be successful, and change the world. But I also hope to follow my heart and face the future calmly.”

“现在的申请季越来越'卷’了，我需要付出比以前更多的努力，成为自己能力范围内的’最好’。无论申请季还是其他，我一直在尝试自己以前没有做过的事，有时候感觉’举步维艰’，但我知道这种泥泞感才是对的，走得沉重才说明正在往上走。”

"The competition is getting tougher now, and I need to put in more effort than before to be the 'best' within my abilities. I've been trying things I haven't done before, and sometimes it feels hard, but, If you walk heavily, it means you are going up."

你们改变了我的生活

Christy作为毕业生代表，在深国预2022届毕业典礼发表演讲，她在台上这样说道：“我衷心感谢所有教过我、支持过我的老师——Kennis, Frannie, Gina, Kiana, Jamie, Pearson, Rikki和Jeffery，你们的指导是我整个高中学习期间最大的收获，因为你们改变了我的生活。”这是她在高中生涯最想说的话，她的真诚触动了台下的每一个人。

Christy, a graduate representative who gave a commencement speech, said on stage: "I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all the teachers who taught me and supported me - Kennis, Frannie, Gina, Kiana, Jamie, Pearson, Rikki and Jeffery, your guidance has been the greatest achievement of my entire high school study, you have changed my life." This was the most important thing she wanted to says towards her end of high school time.,which touched many people.

谈到深国预和英国高中的对比时，她说课程内容上基本没有差别，但是和老师的距离更近了，师生关系就像朋友一样。每一位学生都能受到老师的关注。因为这样，Christy不仅在学科上突飞猛进，也成长为更加自信、强大的女孩。

When it comes to comparison between SIFC and British high schools, she said that there is basically no difference in curriculum content, but the teacher-student relationship is better. Every student receives the teacher's attention. Because of this, Christy not only progressed in various subjects, but also grew into a more confident and strong girl.

有一次，Christy在数学考试前陷入瓶颈。数学老师Jamie察觉到她的异样后，慷慨提议：“要不五一期间你给我讲题吧，咱们就用腾讯会议。学生给老师当老师，你要是能给我讲明白了，自己也就懂了。” Christy学习化学的自信则是Frannie老师给的，她亲切地称Frannie为“凡姐”。凡姐会在晚自习时“开小灶”，也会在课余时间利用微信为学生解答问题，甚至会在Christy难过的时候灌输“心灵鸡汤”。Christy兴奋地说：“凡姐教得太好了，某一天我突然发现我化学变好了，甚至可以给别的同学讲化学题了。”

At one point, Christy got stuck before a math test. After the math teacher Jamie noticed her strangeness, Jamie generously suggested: "You can teach me math quiz online during the holidays. If you can explain it to me clearly, you will understand it yourself." Christy's self-confidence in learning chemistry was strengthened by her teacher Frannie . Frannie will tutor her alone during evening self-study, and will also use WeChat to answer questions for students in her spare time, and even comfort Christy when she is sad. Christy said excitedly: "Frannie teaches so well, one day I suddenly found that my chemistry has improved, and I can even teach other classmates chemistry."

申请季的时候，在升学导师的建议之下，Christy开始基于兴趣领域，拓展自己的知识面，努力成为一个全能型的学生。期间，她在老师的指引下完成了国外名校老师开设的心理和金融课程，建立了对商科、综合学科和管理统计等多样化的综合课程的基本理解，这对后来成功申请UCL商业信息管理专业起到很大的帮助。

During the application season, under the advice of college counselors, Christy began to learn more knowledge based on interest and strive to become an all-round student. During this period, she completed the psychology and financial courses offered by teachers from famous foreign schools under the guidance of the teachers, which was of great help to her successful application for the UCL business information management major.

心理社的Rikki老师擅长将专业心理知识归纳为系统化的、简单易懂的课程，为同学们提供路径，学会解剖自己、掌控自己的情绪；来自加拿大的Gina虽然是一位英语老师，但她经常鼓励同学们自由阐述自己的想法，拓宽眼界，她曾和Christy探讨三八妇女节污名化的问题，Christy领悟到——妇女就是妇女，可以不是“女神”或者“女王”，这个节日的意义不在于消费主义制造的虚伪皇冠，而在于女性最基本的权益得到尊重。

Teacher Rikki from the Psychological Club is good at summarizing professional psychological knowledge into systematic and easy-to-understand courses, so that students can learn to dissect themselves and control their emotions; Gina from Canada is an English teacher, but she often encourages her students to freely express their own ideas and help broaden their horizons; she once discussed the stigma of Women's Day with Christy, and Christy realized that the significance of this festival is not the hypocritical crown created by consumerism, but the respect for the most basic rights and interests of women.

"In SIFC, I heard a lot of voice of affirmation and encouragement, which made me become calmer and more confident, and learn to live with the uncertainty of life. Christy believes that as a younger generation, we should explore and experiment bravely, not to limit ourselves, and to abandon assumptions about the right answers, because they do not exist.

她之所以有这样大胆的主张，也许和自由、开明的家庭教育氛围有关。据Christy介绍，自己是在以理解和尊重下长大的孩子，妈妈眼里的她是独立的。每当和家人聊天时，Christy总能坦诚地分享自己的想法。

The reason why she has such a bold claim may be closely related to the her home education that emphasizes on democracy and open-mindedness . According to Christy, she is a child who grew up with understanding and respect, and she is independent in her mother's eyes. When chatting with family members, Christy candidly shares her thoughts.

选专业的时候，Christy的妈妈建议她选择文科或者商科。但Christy基于自己的兴趣和在深国预所学的课程，认为信息管理更加适合自己，她的决定得到了家人的支持。

When choosing a major, Christy's mother suggested that she choose liberal arts or business. But Christy felt that information management was a better fit for her based on her interests and the courses she had taken at SIFC, and her decision was supported by her family.

无论是在家人，还是老师和同学眼中，Christy都是一个有着强大自驱力的人。Christy相信自己的潜能和努力，也相信自己有无限的可能性，是不受限于个人经历和外界评价的，不能被标签化，也不能被定义。

In the eyes of all her family, teachers and classmates, Christy is a person with strong self-motivation. Christy believes in her own potential and efforts, and believes that she has infinite possibilities, which are not limited by personal experience and external evaluation, and cannot be labeled or defined.

"I'm reluctant to take some very conventional paths, and I'm not willing to set limits on my life.
