期末全體教職工大會

A grand meeting of all the faculty 

is held at the end of the first semester of 2022~2023 academic year

      華美外國語學校（香港部）於2023年1月9日至13日舉辦了2022-2023年度第一學期期末全體教職工大會。大會首先總結了過去一個學期的得失，並且提出了下學期的改進措施；然後對於下學期的教學專案做出了詳細的計劃；最後，學校對教師進行了針對性的培訓，讓教師的教學水準得到質的提升。

    Huamei Foreign Language School (Hong Kong Class) held the faculty meeting at the end of the first semester of 2022-2023 from January 9 to 13, 2023. The meeting began by summarizing the gains and losses of the past semester, and proposing the improvement measures for the next semester. Then detailed plans are made about the teaching projects in the next semester. Finally, the school provided targeted training for teachers to improve their teaching levels.

      大會首先總結了過去一個學期的得失。校長劉啟彬指出，為了提高學校的競爭力，要做到「人無我有，人有我優」。劉校長要求各科老師總結過去一個學期學校辦學中讓家長及學生滿意之處，同時對於家長及學生反饋的問題是否有妥善解決。過去一個學期,中國文化節、學生軍事化訓練、數學活動周等活動得到了家長們一致好評。我們在下學期會舉辦類似的活動，同時我們希望能夠在活動中融合學生在課堂上所學的知識，讓學生「學以致用」。

     The meeting began by summarizing the gains and losses of the past semester. Principal Liu Qibin pointed out that in order to improve the competitive power of the school, we should develop unique advantages of our school. Principal Liu asked the teachers of all subjects to summarize the aspects in the school running which won the satisfaction of the parents and students , and whether the problems of feedback from parents and students had been properly solved. In the past semester, the Chinese Culture Festival, Students' Military Training, Math Activity Week and other activities have been unanimously praised by parents. We will hold similar activities in the next semester. At the same time, we hope to integrate the knowledge that students have learned in class in the activities, so that students can "learn to meet practical needs".

      一年之計在於春，劉校長要求各科老師作出新學期的教學計劃，這樣在新學期來臨之際可以按照教學計劃推行教學進度。同時劉校長讓教師在課堂中按照學生的能力進行教學，真正發揮小班教學的優勢，做到「因材施教」。

    A year's plan starts in the spring. Principal Liu asked the teachers of each subject to make teaching plans for the new semester, so that the teaching schedule can be implemented according to the teaching plans when the new semester comes. At the same time, Principal Liu asked teachers to teach according to students' ability in class, and give full play to the advantages of small class teaching, in this way teachers are able to "teach students in accordance with their aptitude".

      最後，學校對教師進行了培訓，並組織教師進行集體觀課。本學期，學校錄製了所有老師的課堂教學，並利用這最後一周的時間組織教師們進行觀課和評課，幫助各位教師提升教學技能。並且由校領導組織，讓教師學習香港地區優秀的教學資源，以幫助各位教師提高自己的教育教學質量。

     Finally, the teachers received training and were organized to observe lessons collectively in the school . During this semester, the school has recorded the classroom teaching of all the teachers, and in this week, the school organized the teachers to watch and evaluate the recorded lessons to help them improve their teaching skills. In addition, teachers were organized by the school leaders to learn from the excellent teaching resources in Hong Kong, so as to help teachers improve their educational and teaching quality.

    Huamei Foreign Language School (Hong Kong Class) runs the school with the basis of the national curriculum standards, integrating the high-quality elements of the international curriculum, and giving full play to the advantages of the two courses. At the same time, the school sets up a variety of club activities courses. With the development of students' core quality as the blueprint, the school cultivates students’ core quality, personality quality, improves students’ knowledge, talent and spiritual wisdom，enhance students' ability of autonomy, cooperation, inquiry learning, innovation and development to realize the three core tasks of value guidance, thought enlightenment and character shaping. Therefore, we hope that through our teaching, the students can “learn to succeed, learn to use”.
