上周，亚加达国际预科（AIC）的Irene、Essie、Lydia和Abby四位同学参加了有着“学术超级碗”之称的NAQT中国总决赛，经过来自全国各地的79支队伍的激烈角逐，获得全明星队伍奖铜奖及多项个人奖！祝贺她们！

Last week, AIC students Irene, Essie, Lydia, and Abby participated in the NAQT China Championship Tournament (known as the "SUPER BOWL OF THE MIND") they won All-star Team Award Bronze and multiple individuals awards among 79 teams from across the country. Well done, ladies!

关于NAQT | About NAQT

NAQT 的核心玩法被称为知识竞答（Quiz Bowl）。该赛事的考察范围覆盖数理、历史、文学、地理、时事、通识、流行文化与运动、艺术、社科、神话以及宗教与哲学这11个领域的学术知识。

NAQT's core gameplay is called Quiz Bowl. The competition covers academic knowledge in 11 fields including mathematics, history, literature, geography, current affairs, general knowledge, popular culture and sports, art, social sciences, mythology, and religion and philosophy.

4-6人的参赛团队中，每位队员要负责其中的好几个科目，分工合作完成备战与对决，所有人都能在自己擅长的知识领域贡献力量。

In the team of 4-6 people, each team member is responsible for several subjects. They work together to complete preparations and duels. Everyone can contribute in their own field of knowledge.

AIC四位同学组成了Artemis队。在分工合作中，Irene主要负责数理和宗教神学相关赛题，Abby主攻数理加历史赛题、Essie同学在文学、历史和艺术科目赛题上担当主力，而Lydia主要负责社科和通识科目赛题。

In the division and cooperation of the Artemis team composed of four AIC students, Irene was mainly responsible for the mathematical and religion & philosophy related quizzes, Abby mainly focused on the mathematical and historical quizzes, Essie was the main force in the literature, history and art quizzes, Lydia was mainly responsible for the social sciences and general knowledge.

赛事首日，4位同学就投入了紧张的初选车轮战。当日共参与了8轮角逐，每轮约40分钟，挑战11个领域跨学科知识点。最终，同学们以6胜2负的优异成绩从循环赛制中胜出，入围决赛！

On the first day of the tournament, the four students were engaged in the intense Prelims. They participated in eight rounds of about 40-min competitions in one day. They accepted the challenge of interdisciplinary knowledge points in eleven fields and met it head on. In the end, our students won with six wins and two losses and entered the finals!

经过两日赛事的激烈角逐，Artemis队共获得了全明星队伍奖铜奖、3项全明星选手奖银奖、1项全明星选手奖铜奖及1项优秀主持官奖项！而团队MVP奖，则由Essie同学拿下！

After two days of fierce competition, the Artemis team won the All-Star Team Award Bronze, three Silver All-Star Player Awards, one Bronze All-Star Player Award, and one Student Moderator Award. The MVP of the Team was won by Essie!

参赛选手Irene表示：“很感谢博学且协力支持的队友们，我们认为这个比赛能够体现我们学术方面的全面性，希望这个成为我们大学申请资料里面的一个展示自我的部分”。

Irene, one of the four AIC participants, said: "I am very grateful to my erudite and supportive teammates. We believe that this competition can reflect our comprehensive academic aspects and hope that this will become a part of our university application materials to present ourselves."
