Singapore International Math Olympiad Challenge (SIMOC) is a unique concept of mathematics competition which not only tests students’ ability to solve mathematical problems on pen and paper but also tests your ability to work as a team to play interactive mathematical games and solve puzzles.

新加坡国际数学奥林匹克挑战赛，简称SIMOC。该竞赛十分独特新颖，它不仅考察学生在书面上解决数学问题的能力，还考察学生们的团队合作能力，共同完成数学游戏和解决难题。

SIMOC consists of three categories: Math Olympiad Contest for grades 1 to 12 (Primary 1 to Junior

College 2), Mind Sports Challenge (team-based), Math Master Mind Competition (team-based). 

SIMOC由三项比赛组成：数学奥林匹克竞赛（小学一年级至十二年级），智力挑战赛（团队赛），数学思维竞赛（团队）。

The students were trained by our bilingual maths teachers Miss Fei and Mr. Neal during the school term, and also had specialist training by Mr. Michael Collins, the secondary school Maths specialist teacher from ISA Science City, during the summer holidays. The students worked hard to prepare and completed many practice questions in workbooks prepared by Mr. Collins. Their hard work certainly paid off with excellent results.

赛前，学生们为比赛付出了艰辛的汗水。不仅在上学期间参加了学校双语数学老师Fei老师和Neal老师的培训，还在暑假期间参加爱莎科学城的中学数学教师Michael Collins老师的专业培训。课后，他们还努力完成了Collins老师为他们准备的练习题。最终，功夫不负有心人。他们在比赛中获得了优异的成绩。

Our students certainly demonstrated their IB Learner Profile qualities of: Thinker, Knowledgeable, Open Minded, Risk Taker, Inquirer, Communicator, Principled, Caring, Balanced, Reflective.

学生们在竞赛中将IB学习者的品质发挥得淋漓尽致：善思考、知识渊博、思想开放、勇于冒险、勇于探究、勇于沟通、有原则、有爱心、善平衡、善反思。

For one div of the competition students were assigned into teams with children from other countries. This was a real lesson in international mindedness where children from all over the world had to communicate in English to solve maths problems together. It was also a testament to our collaborative learning approach at school.

作为比赛的一部分，学生们和其他来自不同国家的学生组成参赛队伍，共同参与数学互动游戏、解决难题。这是一堂真正的国际化视野课，来自世界各地的孩子们必须用英语交流，共同解决数学问题。这也是爱莎天河小组式学习的最佳体现与实践。
