一元复始，万象更新。2022年即将来临，值此送旧迎新的佳节，我谨代表广州暨大港澳子弟学校，向全体师生员工，理事、荣誉校董，顾问，向长期关心支持学校发展的各位领导及社会各界朋友，致以崇高的敬意和诚挚的问候，并表示衷心的感谢！

Happy New Year!

As the new year begins, let us also start anew. On behalf of Affiliated School of JNU for Hong Kong and Macao Students (ASJ), I would like to extend my respect and sincere greetings to all teachers, students, directors, honorary directors, advisors, leaders and friends who have long been concerned about and supported the development of our school, and to express my heartfelt gratitude!

创校维艰，奋斗以成。2021年是ASJ的创校年，是非凡并值得永远铭记的一年。从3月21日签约启动，到7月18日揭牌招生，到9月1日首日开学，在盛大而隆重的开学典礼后，学校正式运作，在全体教职员砥砺奋进下，用仅仅半年的时间创造了传奇，开启了促进大湾区基础教育融合、打造极具中国特色的国际学校的伟大探索。

The year 2021 was a remarkable and memorable year for ASJ. From the signing of the contract on 21 March to the unveiling ceremony of ASJ on 18 July, to the opening of the school on 1 September, after a grand and solemn opening ceremony, ASJ was officially opened. With all staff working hard, our school has completed an incredible mission in only six months. ASJ has embarked on an extraordinary quest to promote the integration of elementary education in the Greater Bay Area and create an international school with very Chinese characteristics. 

开学以来，教学工作有序展开，校内各项活动按时举行，从开学家长会、中秋国庆活动、教师培训会、成立校家委会、慈善义卖会、教学家长会、学校运动会、成立校学生会、圣诞联欢及聚餐会，一系列活动圆满成功举行；在教学实施方面，各学部在教学研究教学实践上努力探索，组织各类教师培训十余次，听课、观课、教学反馈循环开展；以学生成长为本位的教学心理工作坊持续开展；学校教学管理团队，不断进行视学，优化教学进程，优化教师团队，亦为课程微调作出规划；校方在暨南大学支持下，进行了深度合作，签定了多项合作协议，包括“外语学院研究生实习基地”、“信息科学技术学院研究生实习基地”等；我们亦完成了极具挑战性的IB年检工作，并成功获得国际IB协会的认证，学校的办学实力得到充分肯定。在开学的第一学期，我们实现了从开学初的紧张忙碌，到现在的井然有序。

Since the start of the school year, teaching and learning have been carried out in an orderly manner. All school activities were held on time, from the parent-teacher conference, Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day activities, teacher training sessions, the establishment of PTA,charity sales,parent-teacher conference about teaching and learning, sports days, the establishment of the student's union, and the Christmas performance and lunch. A series of activities were successfully held. In terms of teaching and learning implementation,academic departments have worked hard to explore teaching and learning research and teaching practice. More than ten teacher training sessions of various kinds were organised, including a cycle of class observation and teaching feedback. Psychological work is ongoing with a focus on student development. ASJ's teaching management team is constantly monitoring the learning process, optimising the teaching process and the academic team, and planning for the fine-tuning of the curriculum. With the support of Jinan University, our school has entered into a number of collaborative agreements, including the establishment of the Postgraduate Internship Base with the College of Foreign Studies and College of Information Science and Technology/College of Cyber Security. We have also completed the challenging annual inspection of the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) and have been successfully accredited by the IBO. The strength of ASJ has been well recognised. In the first semester of the school year, we have gone from a hectic start to a well-organised one.

不忘初心，矢志前行。展望2022年，我们会继续努力，做好教学工作，让每一个孩子都能进步成材。在未来一年，我们预计学生及班级数量会持续增加，我们的教职工团队亦将更壮大多元，我们的校园二期工程快将启动，已开始进入设计及开发阶段，目标是2022年8月竣工，我们的课程体系及活动会更加丰富。让我们向着美好的未来，众志成城信心百倍，不负韶华再创辉煌！

Remain true to our original aspiration and move forward with determination. Looking ahead to 2022, we will continue to work hard in teaching and learning so that every child can be successful. In the coming year, we expect to see a continued increase in students and classes. Our staff team will also grow in size and diversity. The second phase of our campus project will soon be launched and is already in the design and development stage. We are aiming for completion in August 2022. The new year will also see the enrichment of the school's curriculum and activities. Let us look forward to a brighter future with confidence and determination and live up to our promise!
