At the very beginning of the Launching Ceremony, Ms. Beth, Head of ISA Tianhe School, began her speech with a normal but thought-provoking question. “What is charity?” she asked the students. The students immediately raised their hands and answered, "It's about helping others, donating money, doing charity sales...". Although the children's answers were different, they all conveyed the same thing that charity is about showing empathy and love and promoting positive energy, which is the most meaningful thing that everyone can participate in.

启动仪式由爱莎天河校长Beth女士发言开场。她向学生们提出了一个看似寻常却又发人深省的问题---“在你眼中，什么是公益？” 。学生们纷纷踊跃举手回答：“是帮助他人、是捐善款、是义卖……”。尽管孩子们的回答不尽相同，但都在传达着：公益是传递爱，播撒正能量，是每个人都可以参与的有意义的事情。

Ms. Sylvia, the Head of ISA Charity Fund, extended her speech from charity to community and ISA. As a member of the ISA community, Ms. Sylvia pointed out that the letter 'S' in ISA does not mean how much you have achieved financially, but how much you have contributed to the community and even the world. She also introduced the activities of ISA Charity Month and reviewed all the charity activities done by the ISA Charity Fund with students and parents. These activities not only help and change others’ lives, but also enable students to know about different social groups, and all this constitutes what we call “charity education”.

爱莎公益基金理事长Sylvia女士的致辞则与Beth女士的发言环环相扣，由公益延伸至社区和爱莎。作为爱莎（ISA）社区的其中一员，Sylvia女士指出ISA（爱莎）中的“S- Succeed成功”并不是你拥有多少钱，有多少财富或者社会地位，而是你对社会回馈了多少，做了多少贡献，这正是爱莎教育的理念和价值观。她还介绍了 “2022爱莎慈善公益月”的活动安排并带着大家一起回顾了爱莎公益基金与学生及家长们所做的公益活动。这些公益活动不仅帮助和影响着他人，也让学生了解到不同的社会群体，也正是公益教育的力量所在。

Soon after, Culsin, the President of ISA Tianhe PSG and student Ayse, President of the ISA Tianhe Student Council delivered speeches at the launching ceremony as parent representative and student representative respectively. Over the past year, they have led parents and students to organise and attend various charity activities, such as the Inter-school Exchange Activity, Charity Market, Crazy Hair Day and our Walkathon. They function in accordance with the IB spirit with actions to make the world a better place!

随后，爱莎天河家委会主席Culsin和爱莎天河学生会主席Ayse分别作为家长代表和学生代表在启动仪式上作了发言。在过去的一年，她们都分别带领着家长和学生多次开展公益活动，如校际交流活动、慈善义卖、疯狂头发日、步行马拉松、爱心图书馆等。他们用行动践行IB精神，让世界更美好！

We also invited Ms. Luo, the Manager of Guangzhou Medical Support Home Project of Henan Children's Hope Relief Foundation, who firmly believes that "real love should be not only in words, but also in actions". Therefore, she always puts love into action, turns impossible into possible, and commits to charity and public welfare. She established the Medical Support Home and children's daily lives in there. Medical Support Home is a medical assistance project of Henan Children's Hope Relief Foundation. It mainly provides a clean and comfortable residence near hospitals and psychological support for the families whose children suffer from severe diseases. 

本次活动我们还特邀了河南省儿童希望救助基金会广州助医小家项目负责人罗典女士，她坚信“真正的爱，不只在言语上，更要在行为和举止上”。因此，她始终将爱付诸行动，化无形为有形，践行公益。她向大家介绍了广州助医小家以及小朋友们在助医小家的生活日常。广州助医小家”是河南省儿童希望救助基金会的一个助医项目，主要为外地来穗就医的大病患儿家庭提供一个邻近医院的干净舒适安憩所和基本生活及心理关怀等方面的帮助。

Since its establishment, the ISA Charity Fund has maintained close contact with the Medical Support Home, donated both funds and materials, and paid them numerous visits. During the Donation Ceremony, the ISA Charity Fund donated toys, daily necessities and other materials to the Medical Support Home, with a total value of 17073.29 RMB. The funds for purchasing the donated materials were raised by the ISA Tianhe Student Council through activities such as Crazy Hair Day and the Walkathon. Adhering to the ISA vision of ‘Inquire, Succeed, Act’, ISA Tianhe integrates charity into its curriculum system and encourages students to personally participate in public welfare activities.

爱莎公益基金成立以来，一直保持与广州助医小家密切联系，为小家提供租赁，捐赠善款和物资，并多次探访小家。本次活动上，爱莎公益基金向广州助医小家捐赠玩具和日用品等物资，总价值17073.29元。购买本次捐赠物资的资金均由爱莎天河学校学生会通过发起“疯狂的头发日”和“步行马拉松”等公益活动筹集所得。秉承“探究、成就、践行”的宗旨，爱莎天河学校将慈善爱心融入课程体系，鼓励学生亲身参与公益活动，这就是最好的印证。
