暨有我师|何谓“艺术的生命教育”?ASJ的王炸“CP”给你答案

艺术是活的科学,艺术家是美的事物的创造者。


而孩子是天生的艺术家。他们思维跳跃、性格活泼,他们每天以好奇的眼光看世界,因此所创造出的作品,映射出他们对这个世界的思考,最能打动人心。


如何保持孩子的好奇心和创造力,如何让孩子提升技能,通过作品准确传达信息,是每位艺术老师要面临的难题。


今天要介绍这两位老师,便是ASJ的艺术“领跑者”,是艺术组的王炸“CP”,从创校陪伴着ASJ学子,丰富和提高孩子们的感觉力和想象力,进一步提高他们的思维能力,树立正确的审美价值。

Vivienne老师:


从小能跳会唱又表演欲旺盛,和着妈妈未实现的儿时音乐梦,五岁的我成为了中国百万琴童的一份子。


由每天哭哭啼啼被迫练琴,到认定音乐成为我的终身理想,20 多载的学艺岁月,是音乐给了我力量。


如今,已在国际学校从教六年的我,也希望将音乐的力量传递给每一位学生。


01

ASJ的音乐课这么上

This is how ASJ’s music class goes      


音乐教育的魅力在于透过课程让学生欣赏美、理解美,并且为学生提供表现美与展示自我的舞台。


在ASJ的音乐课上,我鼓励学生们出于本能地唱、奏、舞蹈,在这样的过程中,学生没有担心“学不会”而挨训或丢面子的精神负担,因而都会得到各种不同程度的满足感。



这种自然流露的形式还能促进萌发学生即兴发挥的创造力。这种创造力的萌发和得到激励,造就了学生学习各种音乐技巧和能力的最佳状态。


小学生通过奥尔夫乐器、歌唱、律动、游戏,不知不觉地接受着音高、节奏、听辨、协调统一等综合音乐能力的训练。小组互动合作时,每位同学根据自己的特长,用不同的方式编排小组的音乐节目。



中学生课堂多是通过音乐文字和影像资料,来欣赏和分析音乐,并学习更加专业的音乐知识。


在合作探究时,我鼓励每组同学积极讨论,大胆编创自己的音乐,尝试不同乐器的融合,并完整地展示给观众们。我希望学生学习的不单单是音乐知识,更多的是音乐背后的文化内涵,是对各种文化的认同。

音乐的力量:

团结创新、自信勇敢

在课堂上,经过多次的小组表演活动,内向的同学慢慢得活泼起来,开始自信展现自己。他们不再怕一个人的表演尴尬,也不再担心自己的表演出错,因为每一次的排练,都有组员之间的互相帮助,每一次的展示,都有组员之间的贴心配合。

在课堂下,我组建了并带领着 ASJ 合唱团,勇敢地站上各种舞台。虽然 ASJ 合唱团成立时间短,团员们的年纪跨度大,同学们的母语不同,但是阻挡不住他们爱唱歌的热情。

合唱团见证着 ASJ 每一个重要时刻,ASJ 揭牌仪式时第一次的闪亮登场,暨大百年校庆的宏壮舞台,2022冬奥会和冬残奥会“中外人文交流小使者”展演,央视“直播大湾区”录制,孩子们的每一次进步都会让我欣喜。他们不再怕重复枯燥的分声部练习,不再抱怨高密度彩排的辛苦。


他们学会了坚持,变得更加自信勇敢,我听到更多的是:“老师,我们再练习一次;老师,我们会在舞台上做得更好。”

Vivienne老师:


无音乐,不生活,热忱的心怎么能不爱生活。


多年练琴的过程,使我变得坚韧,踏实,戒掉心浮气躁。同样,希望我的学生们,也可以让音乐抚平他们的情绪。充满正能量的人,运气一定不会差。


喜欢每次假期回校后,听他们分享自己的所见闻,我也愿意把自己的趣事结合音乐讲给他们。喜欢听孩子们每次学习到一首新的音乐时,滔滔不绝的表达自己的感受。


2022-2023学年,我组建了ASJ中学合唱团,带领更多的孩子走上舞台,展示他们的青春和热情。

舞蹈,是生命存在的基本方式,更是情感表现的最高境界。


我自幼学习中国舞,精通中国古典舞和中国民族民间舞,有着丰富的舞台表演经历。


我从事中国舞教学已十年有余,具有丰富的不同年级的教学经验,在给学生进行舞蹈训练和教授舞蹈知识的同时,也非常注重学生对于舞蹈作品的理解和艺术感受的能力,呈现出各具特色的舞蹈课堂。

ASJ作为全国首家港澳子弟学校,它的生命力和创造力深深吸引了我,这让我对学校的未来充满了期待。面对新一代的港澳学生,我会在自己的教学中更多地融入中华民族文化元素,使孩子们能更多地了解自己国家的民族文化和历史,培养孩子们的家国情怀,增强他们的民族认同感。


在去年十月的以“家国同庆 暨往开来”为主题的双节庆典上,中学部的同学们就以两支富有爱国情怀的舞蹈《灯火里的中国》和《万疆》作为献给祖国母亲的贺礼,深情地表达了自己对祖国的无限热爱和美好祝福。



在日常教学中,我们参考中国舞蹈家协会等级考试教材的内容,并将我们学校的教学特点融入到教学之中。比如,对于幼儿园和小学低年级的孩子,我们会通过节奏欢快、朗朗上口的音乐,配合上舞蹈律动,让孩子学会运用身体的不同部位、朝着不同方位去做舞蹈动作,我们甚至鼓励孩子创造性地做出他们想做的动作。



我总觉得,哪怕是同一个舞蹈动作,不同的孩子也可以表现出不同的可爱。因为,每一个孩子都是独特的。所以我们经常可以在低年级孩子的课堂上看到他们边唱歌边跳舞的快乐场景,有的孩子甚至会非常享受地闭上眼睛舞蹈,一边说着:“老师,快看我!我可以闭着眼睛跳舞!”那一刻,我觉得自己是最幸福的舞蹈老师。



对于中学阶段的孩子,我会在课堂上带着他们去了解不同民族的文化特点、舞蹈动作的风格特点以及造就这些特点背后的原因;此外我还会带着孩子去体验不同民族舞蹈的动律、学习舞蹈动作、赏析这个民族的优秀剧目,在这个学习的过程中去感受中国民族民间舞蹈多彩的魅力、了解中华五千年文化的博大精深、感受中华民族精神的力量。



无论是什么年龄的孩子学习舞蹈,他们都是从兴趣开始培养,逐渐学习舞蹈的相关知识,进而了解背后的文化。我希望孩子们可以通过我的课堂,去发现舞蹈艺术之美,投入其中去享受,去发展自己独特的肢体语言。

一些学习舞蹈小妙招

Some tips for learning to dance         


对于舞蹈学习的技法习得,我会建议首先切记贪快,舞蹈的基本功讲究的是一朝一夕,循序渐进式的提高。其次,一定要用自己的心去体会动作的感觉,并且让自己的脑子动起来,学会思考,反复体会老师对每一个动作的要求,不能一味地死练。所以自己也要去想、去琢磨,想不通的就找老师问。



最后要注重表情和肢体语言,舞者在舞蹈过程中,面部表情始终贯穿其中,是整个舞蹈的艺术形象,把自己融入音乐的情感中,才能做到形神兼备,舞者的面部是为舞蹈的整个灵魂服务的。

我将会继续学习和精进自己国内外不同舞种的舞蹈技能,希望把更加丰富多彩的课程内容融入到教学活动中,使学生能够立足本土,又拥有国际视野,为学生今后的艺术学习打下夯实的基础。


同时,我会深入地去了解每一位学生,用心发现每个孩子身上的优势与不足,用恰当的方式引导学生,让每个学生都能感受到被欣赏的“高光时刻”,让每个学生爱上舞蹈,自信地运用肢体语言表达自己。

Eva老师:


舞者,是展现美的使者,是内外兼修的苦行者;是洒下汗水、泪水换来瞬间绽放的播种者;是奔波于困难苦痛却依然前行的践行者;是甘于寂寞厚积薄发甘当绿叶的陪衬者。


未来,我将继续带着我的学生们用肢体诠释人世间最美的感动和最浪漫的故事。


Art is a living science and the artist is the creator of beauty.


Children are born artists. They think quickly and have lively personalities. Therefore, their works reflect their thoughts which make people moved.


How to keep children's curiosity and creativity, and how to improve their techniques to express their thoughts are problems for every artistic teacher.


Hereby, ASJ would like to introduce two music and dance teachers. They help to improve the perception, imagination, and thinking ability of ASJ students so students themselves can establish correct aesthetic value.

Ms Vivienne:


I have been good at dancing and singing since I was a child with a strong desire to perform. Because of my mother’s unfulfilled childhood musical dream, at the age of five, I became part of the “Millions of piano children in China”. At first, I hate practicing piano. Later, I gradually decided that music is my lifelong ideal. 


In my more than 20 years of studying music, it is music that gives me strength. Now, I have been teaching in an international school for six years, hoping to pass on the power of music to every student.

The charm of music education lies in making students appreciate and understand beauty through courses, and providing a stage for students to show themselves. In ASJ’s music class, I encourage students to sing, play and dance instinctively. In this process, students will not bear the mental burden of being disciplined or feeling embarrassed because they can't master something, so they will all get different degrees of satisfaction. 



This natural form can also promote students’ improvisation and encourage their creativity to sprout. The germination of students’ creativity is stimulated, and they are in the best state of learning various musical skills and improving their ability. 


Through Orff instruments, singing, rhythm, games, etc., I make primary school students unconsciously accept the training of comprehensive musical ability such as pitch, rhythm, listening and distinguishing, coordination and unification. During the group interaction, I will require each student to arrange the music programs of the group in different ways in accordance with their own specialties. 



In the middle school class, I mostly appreciate and analyze music through music words and video materials, so that students can learn more professional music knowledge. 


During the cooperative inquiry, I will encourage each group of students to actively discuss, boldly compose their own music, try the fusion of different musical instruments, and encourage them to show their music to the audience completely. I hope that students will learn not only music knowledge, but also the cultural connotation behind music, and I hope that students can identify with various cultures in their studies.

音乐的力量:

团结创新、自信勇敢

In class, after several group performances, I found that introverted students became active and could show themselves confidently. They are no longer afraid of embarrassment when performing alone, and they are no longer worried about making mistakes in their performances, because group members would support one another during rehearsal, and every presentation has the intimate cooperation of group members.

After class, I set up the ASJ Choir and led the members to perform bravely on various stages. ASJ Choir has been established for a short time, the members have a large age span, and students have different mother tongues, however, they overcame the difficulties and had the enthusiasm for singing.

The ASJ Choir witnessed every important moment of ASJ: the debut of ASJ at the unveiling ceremony, stepping on the grand stage of Jinan University’s centennial celebration, the performance at the XXIV Olympic Winter Games and the XIII Paralympic Winter Games, and the CCTV “Live Greater Bay Area” recording. Every progress of the children will make me feel gratifies. They are no longer afraid of repeating vocal exercises or the hard work of high-density rehearsals. 


They learn to persist and become more confident and brave. I have heard words like those: “Teacher, let's practice again; Teacher, we will do better on the stage.”




Ms Vivienne:


Music is life, that’s why our hearts have beats. Music makes our life complete. How can a passionate heart not love life? 


The experience of practicing piano for many years has made me tough, steadfast and keep a peaceful state of mind. I also hope that my students, in the process of learning music, will have a more stable mood.  Those who are full of positive energy will not have bad luck.


I like to listen to children express their feelings in a flood of words every time they learn a new piece of music, and I like to listen to them share what they have seen and heard after returning to school every holiday. I am also willing to tell them my interesting stories in combination with music.


In the new school year of 2022, I will form the ASJ MYP Choir, aiming to lead more children to the stage and show their youth and enthusiasm.

Ms Eva:


Dance is the basic way of life and the highest state of emotion expression.


I have learned Chinese dance since childhood, and I am proficient in Chinese classical dance and Chinese folk dance with rich experience in stage performance. 


I have been engaged in the teaching of Chinese dance for more than ten years, with sufficient teaching experience in different grades. I also focus on students' understanding and artistic feeling ability of dance works when conducting dance training and teaching dance knowledge, so that presenting a unique dance class.

As the first school for children of Hong Kong and Macao in China, ASJ attracts me with its vitality and creativity, which makes me full of expectations for the future. Facing the new generation of students from Hong Kong and Macao, I will integrate more Chinese cultural elements into my teaching, so that they can understand Chinese culture and history, cultivate their feelings of homeland, and enhance their sense of national identity.  


In last October, the MYP students have presented two patriotic dances, "China in the Light" and "No Boundary", as congratulatory gifts to the motherland, thus expressing their infinite love and best wishes for the motherland.  



In daily teaching, we will refer to the Chinese Dancers Association grade examination materials and integrate teaching characteristics into education. For example, for children in kindergarten and early primary school, we will use cheerful and catchy music with dance rhythm, so that they can learn to use different parts of the body for dance movements in different directions, also we encourage them to complete the movements creatively.



I always feel that even different children can show different cuteness in the same dance movement, since every child is unique. Therefore, in the class of lower grade children, they would sing and dance joyfully, also some would even enjoy dancing with their eyes closed, saying, "Ms XX, look at me, I can dance with my eyes closed." at that moment, I felt that I was the happiest dance teacher.  



For MYP students, I will lead them to understand the cultural characteristics of different nationalities, the style and characteristics of dance movements and the reasons behind these characteristics in class. In addition, I will also take them to experience the rhythm of different ethnic dances, learn dance movements and appreciate the excellent repertoire, so as to feel the colorful charm of Chinese ethnic and folk dances, understand the broad and profound Chinese culture of 5,000 years and appreciate the power of the Chinese national spirit.



Students at different ages would always start from the interest of training, then gradually learn related knowledge, and understand the culture behind. I hope they can discover and enjoy the beauty of dance art through my class, so as to develop unique body language.

一些学习舞蹈小妙招

Tips for dancing         


For the acquisition of dance learning techniques, I would suggest that avoiding the pursuit of speed, since the basic skills of dance is to the process of accumulation, which is progressive improvement. Besides, we must use our own heart to experience the feeling of action, and learn to think, repeatedly experience the teacher's requirements for each action instead of blindly practice. Hence you also need to think and pondering, then seek advice from the teacher is encountering any difficulties. 



Finally, we should pay attention to facial expression and body language, facial expression is always running through in the dance process, which is the artistic image of the whole dance. Only by integrating yourself into the emotion of music can we achieve both appearance and spirit since your face can imply the whole soul of the dance.

I will continue to learn and improve the dance skills of different kinds of dance at home and abroad, then integrate more brilliant course contents into teaching activities, so that students can have a local base and an international perspective, thus laying a solid foundation for their future artistic learning. 


Meanwhile, I will get to know each student deeply, find out their strengths and weaknesses, guide them in an appropriate way, let them feel the "highlight moment" of being appreciated, allowing everyone fall in love with dance, and expressing themselves confidently with body language.

Ms. Eva:


Dancers are messengers of beauty and ascetics who practice both inside and outside, ; the sowers who shed sweat and tears for an instant bloom; the practitioners who run through difficulties and pains but still move forward and the servers who are willing to act the green leaf with the accumulation of wealth. 


In the future, I will continue to lead students to interpret the most beautiful moving and romantic stories in the world via dancing.
