ISA Liwan Primary School adopts the IB PYP as the framework and incorporates the essence of high-quality curriculum from different countries all around the world, including the Singapore mathematics and British national curriculum standards, to improve students' academic performance and to provide students from Grades 1 to 5 with a transdisciplinary learning experience that is significant, engaging, relevant and challenging. The rich and professional curriculum allows students to establish a real and meaningful connection with the world around them, and ultimately promotes the holistic development of students intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically.

国际文凭小学项目(IB Primary Years Program, 简称 IB PYP)是一套国际公认的,以探究为基础的课程,它注重在课堂内外将儿童培养成为全面发展的探究者。IB PYP是跨学科和整体性的,旨在进一步培养每个孩子天生的好奇心和对学习的热爱, 侧重于成长中儿童的总体发展,建立起她们自己对周围世界的认知和理解。


爱莎荔湾小学项目具有充分的灵活性来适应绝大多数国家或地方对课程的要求,并使学生为将来学习国际文凭中学项目(IB MYP)做好最充分的准备。

The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) is an internationally recognized, inquiry-based curriculum that focuses on developing children into well-rounded inquirers, both inside and outside the classroom. IB PYP is transdisciplinary and holistic, aiming to further foster each child’s natural curiosity and love of learning, focusing on the overall development of growing children and building their own knowledge and understanding of the world around them.


ISA Liwan Primary School has the flexibility to adapt to most national or local curriculum requirements and to best prepare students for future studies in the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP).

IB PYP是一个教学体系框架,包括 “六大超学科主题活动”“六组学科”;以具有全球重要性的6个超学科主题为主导,运用在6个学科领域中习得的知识和技能以及超学科技能开展探究,重点强调学科交叉和主题渗透。


学生在六大超学科主题所创设的真实的情境中、老师的引导和启发下,充分发挥自己的能动性,主动发现问题、提出问题、学会与他人合作,共同探寻与学习,最终做到学以致用和融会贯通。

IB PYP is a teaching and learning framework, consisting of “Six Transdisciplinary Themes” and integrating “Six Subject Groups”; allowing students to carry out research through the use of knowledge and skills acquired across the six subject areas, and revolving around the six transdisciplinary themes of global importance, thus emphasizing the integration of disciplines and thematic learning.


We promote learner agency and provide opportunities for students to question, explore, collaborate, construct their own understandings, and finally make connections and transfer learning to new contexts.

爱莎荔湾和爱莎国际学苑共同合作,开设种类齐全的辅助课程,涵盖学术延伸、体育健康、文化艺术、科学技术、社会服务五大门类,包括粤剧、南狮、击剑、IQ机器人、国际象棋、芭蕾等,为他们搭建与全球各领域大师沟通交流和学习的桥梁,邀请体育、艺术、科技等行业的领军人物作为他们的导师。

ISA Liwan School and ISA Academy collaborate in cultivating students’ deep learning in the fields of academic counselling, academic competitions, physical health, culture and art, scientific and technological innovation, social services, and other personalised fields, including Cantonese Opera, Lion Dance, Fencing, Vex IQ Robot, International Chess, Ballet, etc. With a “student-centred” approach, each student has one class schedule, and several tutors, providing students with rich learning resources and building bridges for them to communicate and learn with masters in various fields around the world. We invite leading figures in sports, art, technology, and other industries as their mentors.

“承认个体差异,提供多元选择”是辅助课程设置的一大亮点。爱莎荔湾辅助课程以“学生为中心”,为学生提供丰富的学习资源,对不同孩子的个性化需求有专业的评估体系,在大规模课程选择过程中,通过大数据分析和专业化匹配,帮助学生实现个性化发展。

“Recognising individual differences and providing multiple paths” is the highlight of the CCo-curriculum and Activities. The CCA is “student-centred” and provides students with rich learning resources. Based on ISA’s professional assessment system for the personalised needs of different students, especially with course selection, the goal of authentic and lifelong learning is realised through big data analysis and targeted matching.


We have also carried out 4 school festivals, as well as other activities such as Assembly, ISA Festival and Action Week, reiterating our commitment to building a holistic education.

Each class has two homeroom teachers. The co-teaching mode is adopted in mathematics, English, UOI and swimming classes, which comprehensively pays attention to individual differences and different learning needs, to better realize differentiation.

 

The members will integrate advanced concept of international education and their past experience into the ISA Liwan education to cultivate students’ cultural agility as well as to implement the excellent and diversified holistic education.
