Welcome back to the first ICD Newsletter of the semester!  It has been such a long time since we have all been together, and it has been a magical first four weeks back with the children!

We are all so excited to let you know what the children have been up to over the past couple weeks at the kindergarten!

The children have returned from their spring festival holidays and have got straight down to business as they continue their educational journey!

K2C have been studying plants recently in the environment theme. We have been going into great detail about them and found out what plants are commonly used for.

Whether it’s food, clothing or medicine K2C recognises what plants are used for making which products. They can happily say ‘Cotton is used for making clothes’.

In K3E the children have been busy exploring how we can protect the world around us.  From looking at air pollution around us and conducting experiments within the kindergarten to see the air pollution levels, the children have also explored what happens to our household waste, where it ends up, and how we can recycle to protect our local environment and the oceans!

The children celebrated the small festival of Pancake Day recently, with themselves whipping up some delicious pancakes to try!  With added bananas and whipped cream, the pancakes went down a storm as the children whisked, flipped and ate!

After such a long time away from school, it truly is fantastic to have the children back together, learning and playing together again!  Everyday is a happy day!
