Lots of changes occurred during Term 1 as Mr and Ms Jones were finally able to join us from the UK. Last term, our key focus was on ‘respect’, the students worked diligently discovering what the word meant and how to show respect within and outside of school.

在本学年的第一学期，学生宿舍迎来了令人欣喜的变化。学期伊始，两位舍监老师Carolyn Jones和Lee Jones从英国来到佛山霍利斯校园，与我们的学生见面交流，为他们的日常起居生活提供照顾和指导。在这个学期，宿舍生活的发展主题是“尊重”，我们引导学生探索这个词的含义，以及如何在校内和校外的环境中以尊重的姿态待人接物。

A host of weekend activities began, introducing movie nights, game nights, and art and crafts evenings. The students have also enjoyed trips to the local mall and pleasant afternoon walks. 

佛山霍利斯的寄宿生活是多姿多彩的，例如电影之夜、桌游之夜、手工艺术之夜等。精彩不限于校内，舍监老师也带着学生们走出校园，在佛山街头散步，探索当地地标建筑。

We have started to celebrate our birthdays!  At the end of each month, we celebrate all of the student birthdays with a party at the end of the month with birthday cake, certificates, music, drinks, and snacks!

我们也为学生生日举办庆祝活动，每个月底，我们在宿舍社交活动空间内举办生日派对，分享音乐、生日蛋糕、饮料和各种小零食等等。

All of our students were given the opportunity to decorate baubles for our house Christmas tree, see below for their beautiful creations.  The students all had a lot of fun at the Christmas Party. The younger students managed to beat Ms Jones at Jenga, the older ones set up their own balloon volleyball court. The pizza and cookies went down a storm and we are looking forward to many more events like this!

圣诞月期间，我们组织学生们为学校的圣诞树制作小饰品。圣诞派对上，学生们都玩得十分开心尽兴，低年级的学生甚至在Jenga抽积木层层叠游戏中打败了Lee Jones老师，高年级学生则发挥创意开展打“气球”竞赛。晚会上的pizza和曲奇饼小吃也备受学生们喜爱。我们期待在未来能够举办更多这样的活动。

This term we will begin to focus on our 8C’s.

在第二学期，宿舍活动主题将会围绕我校的8C品质。

For the first four weeks before Chinese New Year, we will focus on Creativity. Upon our return, we will explore Compassion and end Term 2 with Curiosity. Activities include poetry workshop, growing plats, wetland trips, Chinese film afternoon and more.

在春节前的四个星期，我们将会重点关注在“创造力”方面，假期后的主题为“同理心”，在学期后阶段则是“好奇心”。接下来的精彩活动包括诗歌工坊、绿植栽种、湿地探索、华语电影欣赏等。

Boarding students at LEH Foshan develop a new level of independence, resilience and confidence. As well as benefiting from a full timetable of academic subjects, Students also enjoy our teacher-supervised Evening School (time in the evening for home learning).

得益于完整的学习时间，他们可享受外籍老师指导的晚自习时间。

When students join LEH Foshan, they will share an en suite room with students of the same age. The modern design of the rooms will ensure they have privacy, space to work individually or collaboratively while providing the support and facilities to ensure the students need only focus upon their learning.

当学生们入学后，他们会与同龄人分享使用一间套房。房间设计现代，所有设施均为学生能专心学习而设计。每个人拥有隐私的同时，亦有空间供学生们单独或协作学习。

Common Rooms in each House will ensure students have space to relax and socialise in their free time and will help integrate students and develop House spirit. While 3 meals a day will be provided in the Dining Hall, kitchenettes will allow students to make hot drinks and snacks at other times.

每个学院里的公共休息室为学生们提供了闲暇时休息和社交的好去处，这有助于提高团队凝结力和学院精神。学生的一日三餐将由食堂提供，他们还可以在小厨房里自制热饮和享用零食。
