The 2021-22 school year has come to an end! Looking back, every day we had been happy, busy and purposeful. We had used our 8 core values – the 8 Cs - as a framework to guide and define what kind of students we educate at LEH, Foshan. We also received our COBIS (Council of British International Schools) membership alongside authorisation from our two international examination boards, Cambridge and Pearson. These major developments cement our desire to be an outstanding provider of a world class education.
2021-2022学年已经圆满结束！回首过往一年的每一天，我们都在愉悦、充实、有目标的校园生活中度过。我们提出了8C品质，并以此作为佛山霍利斯的学生培养方向。我们获得了COBIS（英国国际学校理事会）认可，被批准加入成为会员，也获得了剑桥大学国际考评部和英国培生爱德思考试局的授权认证。这些都是学校发展的重要里程碑，彰显着佛山霍利斯在成为全球卓越学校的路上不断前进。
As we look back over the year, I hope that you share with me many memories of the key events that have happened. The announcement of the Houses and our Housemasters along with our mini-House Olympics and other activities have provided a focus for healthy student competition. Our First World Book Day, Family Day, and our first Science Fair; the opening of the swimming pool, Dragon Boat races and our first whole school photographs, which captured our Year 11 students preparing for their graduation, have all provided memorable moments. The Student Council and Parent Association were both established, and we cannot forget the many musical events which have fostered the school’s link with LEH, London as a place of learning for children who want to receive a holistic education.
我想要邀请与大家一起重温过去一年的每个高光时刻：英式学院制的正式确立、学院主任的任命、学院竞赛和活动、我们的首个世界图书日庆祝活动、家庭日、首个科学节、游泳池正式投入使用、旱地龙舟比赛、首次全校合照、首届11年级毕业班、学生会的成立、家长委员会的成立，以及一连串的精彩音乐会等等。这一系列的活动也加强了佛山霍利斯与姐妹学校的连结，让我们不断向英国霍利斯学校看齐，为学生们提供更多全面发展的机会。
Thank you to all students, staff and parents for your contribution to the development of our inclusive and vibrant LEHF community. Being part of it is like being part of a family, our sense of loyalty and pride grows daily as we look forward to making many more happy memories to come.

Mrs Jane Arden
Headteacher 校长
Our Headteacher Mrs Jane Arden has over 20 years’ experience in education, and prior to this role at LEH, she has spent over 5 years working at top international schools in China as founding Deputy Principal, Director of Teaching and Learning, Head of Academics and Head of English. Under her leadership, her schools achieved outstanding IGCSE and A level results. Jane has also worked as Assistant Principal examiner for AQA English language.
佛山霍利斯校长 Jane Arden 女士资历丰富，在教育行业深耕超过20年，其中在中国国内一流的英国国际学校工作超过5年，曾担任创校副校长、学术部主管和英文学科主任等重要领导角色。所任职的学校在她的带领下取得斐然的IGCSE和A Level学术成绩。此外，Jane Arden女士也担任过英国AQA考试局英文学科助理首席考官近20年。
Ms Mandy Bateman
Head of Prep School 预备校长
Ms Bateman has 25 years of experience as an educator and leader in both British and international schools in the UK, Portugal, and Egypt. Her journey in education has been wide-ranging. In 2009 she established herself as a leader when she became a founding Headteacher of an independent school in the UK. In her last position, Ms Bateman worked as a Headteacher of Early years foundation stage (EYFS) and Primary 6 form entry school at a well-regarded British International School in Cairo, Egypt. She holds a Master SEN Education from Cambridge.
Mandy Bateman女士是一位经验丰富的教育家和领导者，在英国本土的学校，以及葡萄牙和埃及的国际学校有25年的工作经验。她的教育工作资历十分深厚，且涉猎广泛；2009年，她在英国创立了一间独立学校并担任创校校长，自此开始领导学校运营。在来到佛山霍利斯之前，Bateman女士在埃及开罗一所享有盛誉的英国国际学校担任幼年基础阶段（EYFS）和小学六年级的校长。她持有剑桥大学特殊需求教育硕士学位。
Ms Sara Saavedra
Head of Academics 学术部主任
Head of Spanish 西班牙语学科主任
Ms Sara Saavedra has been in the teaching and education industry in the UK and Dubai since she attained UK Qualified Teacher Status at the University of East London in 2013. She is a very experienced teacher of Spanish, and her last post was Head of Spanish and IB Coordinator in a well-regarded British international school in Dubai. Ms Saavedra has worked in both IB and British curriculum schools and gained profound insights into IB and A Level programmes from which our students will benefit.
Sara Saavedra女士于2013年从东伦敦大学取得英国合格教师资格，之后一直从事教学和教育工作，曾在英国和迪拜任职。她是一位非常有经验的西班牙语教师，在加入佛山霍利斯之前，她在迪拜一所著名的英国国际学校担任西班牙语学科主任和IB协调员。Ms Saavedra曾在IB和英国课程的学校任职，对两种课程都有深刻的认识和见解。佛山霍利斯的学生们将能从她丰富的教育经验中受益。
Mrs Deborah Kirk
Head of Sixth Form 12-13年级主任
Mrs Deborah Kirk, currently our Head of Mathematics & Computer Science Faculty, will take on the role of Head of Sixth Form in the next school year. graduated from the University of Exeter with a Mathematics degree and since then, Mrs Kirk has taught Maths for over 30 years around the world in top international schools, including in Bogota (Colombia), Barcelona, Dubai, and Bangkok. Before joining LEH Foshan she was teaching in the UK where she was not only teaching Maths, but also enjoyed the role of Sixth Form Tutor supporting pre-university preparation as well as an A Level Examiner.
Deborah Kirk女士是我校的数学及计算机学科主任，在新学年将担任12-13年级主任。她毕业于英国埃克塞特大学，获得数学学士学位，此后在世界各地（包括哥伦比亚波哥大、西班牙巴塞罗那、阿联酋迪拜和泰国曼谷）的顶级国际学校任教三十余年。在加入佛山霍利斯之前，她在英国任教，在教授数学的同时，还担任大学预科生导师以及A Level考试考官。

For parents who are unable to attend our school at the moment, we are glad to announce the launch of our bilingual voice-guided VR School Tour, providing families with the opportunity to discover our award-winning campus from the comfort of their homes.

SATURDAY DROP-IN SESSIONS NOW AVAILABLE

We are glad to announce that our campus is now open on Saturdays for half day for those busy parents who have time for a school visit only on weekends. Our Admissions Staff is available from 9:00 to 13:00. These Drop-in Sessions are limited, so we encourage interested parents to make a reservation as soon as possible.
