Join us bright and early at 9:00 AM for an exciting start to our Open Day! When you and your family step into our warm and welcoming reception and lobby area, our friendly admissions team and Prep teachers will greet you with smiling faces. Take this opportunity to engage in friendly banter, ask any questions you may have, and get to know our team.
British Taster Lessons (for Students)
Get your child(ren) ready for a fun-filled adventure when our Prep Teachers will take them to their classrooms at 9:30 AM for two exciting taster lessons. At first, our teachers will engage your little ones in playful games and activities to help them get acquainted with their new friends and teachers. Then at 10:00 AM, the lessons will commence! Your child(ren) will have the opportunity to experience the essence of the British Curriculum through our thematic learning approach, currently adopted at LEHF Prep School.
LEHF Prep School offers a unique and intensive British curriculum based on the English National Curriculum, which is characterised by the terms ‘broad and balanced’ as students study the full breadth of subjects that are needed to help them develop into well-rounded citizens of the future.
During the taster lesson, students will explore a variety of exciting topics, such as renewable energy. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the importance of environmental protection and participate in a hands-on project where they will design and build a mini wind power generator. In addition to renewable energy, students may also delve into the workings of the human body. They will discover how different body parts collaborate to enable movement and other vital functions, deepening their understanding of their own bodies and human biology. The topics covered during the taster lesson may vary over time to reflect the latest trends and developments in our Prep School curriculum.
The thematic approach is a way of teaching and learning, whereby many areas of the curriculum are connected and integrated within a theme. It helps learners see meaningful connections across disciplines or learning areas. The thematic approach keeps students engaged by making learning activities fun and by creating a variety of different experiences, which helps students to learn and retain more information. It allows literacy to grow progressively, with vocabulary linked and with spelling and sentence writing being frequently, yet smoothly, reinforced.
School Information Session (for Parents)
As your little ones immerse themselves in our delightful taster lessons, you will be invited to join the School Information Session in the event suite, where our Headteacher Mrs Jane Arden will personally welcome you to LEH Foshan and give you a brief introduction to our school.
Next up, the Head of the Prep School, Ms Mandy Bateman, will take the stage with a detailed presentation about our Prep School, including our innovative thematic curriculum, dynamic school life, and dedicated learning support.
School Life at Prep School
Prep School offers a busy, happy and purposeful school life for students. The typical day starts at 8:00 AM and runs until 5:50 PM, with a variety of enriching activities and classes to keep students engaged throughout the day. Throughout the school year, there are various exciting school events that keep students engaged and entertained, ranging from musical concerts and theatrical productions to festive celebrations and outdoor picnics.
At Prep School, we provide a holistic approach that covers both academic and safeguarding components through a comprehensive natural system. Additionally, we recognise that each child is different and therefore offer personalised learning assistance and pastoral care.
Our Q&A session promises to be an interactive and informative conversation, where you can ask any questions that come to mind and receive prompt and helpful responses.

Get ready for a thrilling adventure! Following the presentations and Q&A session, our friendly and knowledgeable admissions staff will lead you on a guided tour of our beautiful, design-award-winning campus, with a special focus on the state-of-the-art Prep School facilities. You'll get to see our spacious and carefully-decorated classrooms, our science lab equipped with the latest technology, our library stocked with an array of captivating books, our art workshops where creativity knows no bounds, and much more!
All Prep classrooms and common spaces are dedicated to young learners and crafted to UK education standards and safety protocols. There are carefully designed and decorated Prep classrooms, as well as dedicated specialist classrooms for Art, Music, Drama, STEAM and Chinese. A spacious Prep library is available with easy access to many age-appropriate and varied reading materials to encourage and instil a love of reading among our children.
Developing a classroom and playground environment conducive to learning is a process that entails planning the physical space, getting the students to cooperate, creating a communal environment, and finally maintaining a positive classroom and playground climate and culture. Here in prep school, we are constantly developing and reviewing how we can adapt to the environment we use to benefit all our students.
During the tour, our team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have, and provide you with an in-depth understanding of how our facilities cater to the needs of our students, and create a safe, nurturing environment for them to thrive in.
