2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Germany. Over the past 50 years, our economic and trade cooperation has drawn on each other's strengths and yielded fruitful results. Bilateral trade between China and Germany has grown from less than $300 million when the two countries established diplomatic ties to $235.1 billion today, accounting for about a third of China's total trade with the EU. China has been Germany's largest trading partner in the world for six consecutive years. Germany is also China's largest source of foreign investment and technology in the EU.

In recent years, China-Germany investment has shifted from a one-way street to a two-way street, and Chinese investment in Germany has grown significantly. There are over 6,000 German companies in China and over 3,000 Chinese companies operating in Germany. The rapid development of China-Germany economic, trade and technology has brought tangible benefits to our two countries and peoples.

PKF has recently received many inquiries from domestic clients about setting up a company in Germany. They want to know about the procedures required for setting up a company in Germany and the issues that need attention for Chinese investors.

To this end, PKF German Fasselt Office and PKF China Shanghai Office jointly organized an online lecture in Chinese.
