Boarding programme, in the view of many people, is to provide students with a place to rest and adjust after a day at school. However, in ISA Liwan, boarding programme is regarded as an important course including the aspects of night tutoring, leadership course, principals dinner gala, additional activity, life ability training etc.

Simon Smith, head of Boarding of ISA Liwan has his view on boarding programme, "Our practice and environment aim to promote the mental and physical health, welfare and wellbeing of each individual. We encourage students to learn how to get along with others. Through common practice and activity, students will develop a sense of identity in a community and build their characters. Besides, partnership with parents or other guardians will be embraced through effective communication."

Pastoral care in a school impacts highly on learning and teaching. Students who feel supported in their overall wellbeing and have a voice and a sense of purpose, Under this circumstance, children are more likely to achieve physical and mental health and holistic development.

The school years are some of the toughest for mental health,  and the pastoral care in ISA Liwan is able to support our students and fmilies when they need it.
