Yes, that’s right! At the Family Fun Day, nearly 30 wonderful stands offered various activities and items to sell. You could smell the aroma of exotic food at the entrance of the fair, get your magic sceptre at the Harry Potter magic stand, and have your face painted at Ms. Nina's stand. The Student Council stand sold a variety of Sias IS souvenirs, and the students took the responsibility of serving others and giving back to the community. All earnings from the stands will go towards the students' service learning projects.
是的你没有看错，当天的家庭日活动趣味集市我们召集了近三十个精美摊位，组织多样的活动并且售卖各种各样的物品。你可以在集市入口处闻到异国美食的飘然香味，可以在哈利波特的魔法摊位购得属于你魔法权杖，可以在妮娜老师摊位获得精彩的脸部描绘……学生会摊位售卖各种西亚斯外籍学校周边纪念品，学生们作为摊位售卖的参与者树立了传递服务他人与回馈社会的意识。此次所有摊位的所得的收入将全数用于学生的服务学习项目。
Impressive Music Festival
The Music Festival was another focus of Family Fun Day. We wanted to bring the Sias IS voice to the school through a variety of songs and performances. The Festival included traditional performances from different countries. The PYP Coordinator, Ms. Juliana's family shared a traditional Southeast Asian dance with our Sias IS community. You can see Altamis tapping percussion instruments at the back of the stage; Ms. Morris, Ms. Nicole, Mr. Steve and Ms. Teh led us in a traditional "American Line Dance", which brought the festival to its climax. Teachers from the five continents and the whole Sias IS community danced together to the Mauritian rhythm. The audience also joined in from where they stood and danced to the music led by our visual arts teacher, Mr. Utchanah.
本次家庭日活动我们着重设计另一环节—西亚斯外籍学校家庭日音乐节，我们希望通过各种歌声与表演来传递西亚斯声音，音乐节融合不同国家的传统表演形式，小学部课程协调员朱丽安娜老师一家给西亚斯外籍学校社区的观众们带来了传统的东南亚舞蹈，你可以看到Altamis正在后面欢快地拍动打击乐器；来自美国的Ms. Morris、Ms. Nicole、Mr. Steve及来自马来西亚的Ms. Teh带领我们全体成员跳起传统的“美式广场舞”使其音乐节达到高潮环节，全场一起跟随音乐共同跳动；在我校视觉艺术老师Mr. Utchanah的带领下，五大洲的外籍教师沉浸在舞蹈中，台下的观众也一同跟随音乐律动跳起毛里求斯舞。
At Family Fun Day, the ASA project partners were invited to set up several game stations in the middle of the field with the intent of entertaining the Sias IS children. The most popular activities were the drone station, the archery station and the soccer game.
本次家庭日我们还邀请了与学校合作的ASA项目商，在操场中央设置了诸多游戏体验站，希望西亚斯社区的孩子们一同参与其中，并为孩子们带来绝佳的游玩感。最受欢迎的是无人机体验站，射箭游戏站，以及足球比赛。

This was the first time we participated in this kind of activity and I was impressed. I deeply felt the international atmosphere of Sias IS. I was so excited to be in it and not standing on the outside of the fence looking in to know what Sias IS was doing. At Family Fun Day, I saw people from different countries spoking different languages, which demonstrated the charm of diverse cultures.
